Bavaro Runners with Amaro tour guide - Nice trip. The guide Amaro explained everything very good. Had horse rides, visited biggest church in DR, went to Maria farm, tested some samples of coffe, cacao, mama huana, cocoa tea, cosmetics, have seen the process of roasting the cocoa beans, coffee. Had lunch, after we saw how cigars are made. Didn't have time for cigar plantation. After, went to Macao beach. Had only 35min there, so no time for swimming. The bathrooms at the beach are horrible. No place to change the clothes. Overall it was good.

Bavaro Runners Culture Tour - We did the Bavaro Runners Culture Tour. Our guide was Angel and driver Felix. Both gentlemen were outstanding. Angel flavored the tour with humor and details about what we were experiencing. Very down to earth and made the tour an excellent experience. The tour itself was great. It was bumpy riding in the back row but comes with the type of open area vehicle they used. Dress light as it does get hot at certain periods. The horse back portion was just okay as you followed a trail for 15 minutes. That was my least favorite part. Cigar rolling and authentic food followed by a tour of Maria’s property was the best part of the experience. You get to see how coca plant is used. Taste different products from the plant as well. Great for education of the country.

Would definitely recommend - Excellent trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and so lovely. We learnt a lot about local customs and traditional methods for cocoa, coffee and cigar making. This trip is very good value for money, we had a delicious lunch, visited a local home, tasted cocoa, coffee, rum and tea, rode horses and swam. A lovely day out to see the real Dominican Republic - would definitely recommend.

Terrific Experience! - The excursion was excellent. I enjoyed the horseback riding. The cigar, chocolate, and coffee experience was informative and very tasty. The basilica was holy and religious. It was a great opportunity to pray. The beach was fun and relaxing. My tour guide was very excellent too. He was articulate, funny, and full of information about the culture and tradition of the Dominican Republican.
