A visitor center is available on-site, with an entry charge. However, the Giant’s Causeway itself is free to access as it is a public right of way.
• Dunluce Castle - Visit Dunluce Castle, dramatically situated atop the cliffs, offering a fantastic photo opportunity. Visitors can tour the castle for a fee, but it’s worth stopping by even just for photos if a tour isn’t desired.
• Ballintoy Harbour - Drive down the winding road to the charming Ballintoy Harbour, a filming location for the Game of Thrones series. It’s a great spot to stretch your legs, take photos, enjoy a coffee, or purchase a painting from the local artists who frequently visit the harbor.
• Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - For those with a head for heights, crossing the famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is a must. If you’re not feeling brave, you can take photos from the Portaneevey viewpoint and tell friends you crossed it. There is a fee to cross the bridge, and pre-booking is recommended as it can get busy and may be fully booked.
• Bushmills Distillery - Sample some whiskey at the world’s oldest licensed distillery, Old Bushmills Distillery. Visitors can take a tour for a fee, and pre-booking is advised due to the popularity of the tours. If a tour isn’t for you, visit the shop or bar to purchase or sample some Bushmills, which might give you the courage to cross the rope bridge.
• Antrim Coast Road - Travel along the famous Antrim Coast Road, starting or ending your journey here. Enjoy the scenic drive through picturesque towns and villages along the coastline. Stop for ice cream in Ballycastle or lunch, or take a walk around Carnlough and its quaint harbor before continuing along the coast to enjoy the breathtaking views.
