- Busan Gamcheon Culture Village - Nestled in the coastal city of Busan, Gamcheon Culture Village is a stunning blend of beauty and vibrant chaos. This historically significant, mountainside area transformed into a tourist hotspot following an artistic renovation in 2009, when students added creative touches throughout the neighborhood. Today, it boasts a lively, colorful community of Lego-like homes, cafes, and galleries.
- Songdo Skywalk - Known for its beaches, Busan becomes bustling with visitors during the summer. Songdo Beach, just 3km from downtown Busan, gained popularity among city residents in the 1960s due to its picturesque coastlines. “Songdo” translates to “Pine Island,” referencing the surrounding pine groves. The Songdo Beach Skywalk, inaugurated in June 2015 as Korea’s longest curved sea overpass, stretches 104 meters from the shore to the lighthouse and is 2.3 meters wide, constructed with special steel and wood. The bridge stands 5.5 to 6 meters above sea level, allowing visitors to view the ocean beneath their feet through its tempered glass floor, reinforced with strong railings. This spot offers a secure place for visitors to enjoy the sound of waves and a vast ocean view.
- Jagalchi Market - Situated on the shore side road in Busan’s Jung-gu, Jagalchi Market is Korea’s largest seafood market, offering both live and dried fish. The narrow lanes outside the main building are filled with long-standing stalls and food carts operated by elderly vendors, selling an impressive variety of seafood, including red snapper, flounder, and intriguing creatures with tentacles.
- Gukje Market - Located west of Nampo-dong, this traditional market features hundreds of small booths offering an astonishing array of items, from leather goods to Korean drums.
