Great evening - We thoroughly enjoyed the progressive dinner. The people hosting are amazing and entertaining. The night we went there were 3 bus loads doing the dinners. A lot of work for the hosts. Good was good. Fun meeting different people and hearing stories of life on Norfolk. This tour is very popular. We booked before we left aus.

Progressive Dinner on Norfolk Island - The food was excellent. The speakers, who were the home owners, were very engaging and enhanced our understanding of the Pitcairners and the culture.

Yummy tour - Wonderful tour. Princess welcomed us to her home with truely best fresh salad had probably ever. She is a scream with abundance of wit & humour. Next was a new location and a yummy main course (chicken bacon wrapped main) & finally last stop with yummy passion fruit cheese cake. All of this wrapped up with great people opening their homes 🩵

Get to know the behind the scenes stories of Norfolk families. - Food was good stories were great. But if u are looking for an intimate dinner in people’s homes this is not it. That didn’t mean it wasn’t a great night but we are talking over 50 people sitting down to dinner altogether - having said that the food was brought out promptly. It was hot and tasty or cold and tasty depending what the dish was.
It wasn’t what we were expecting, but we did enjoy our time. Would recommend it to other travellers.

Great food. Entertaining and enjoyable night. . - The food was fantastic. The homes we visited and the locals so friendly and welcoming.
All that I could suggest was a bit more local history knowledge at the last two homes!
The first was very entertaining. 🤣
Thanks for a fun night out.

Better tour options - We didn’t expect to have so many guests. (About 30 in our group-2 buses)It seemed very rushed, and it would have been good if the format, once you arrived, had been better explained. The Hosts were serving 3 sessions that night. So ours started with nibbles and a sherry which was pleasant and plentiful. It felt awkward to sit at the pre-set dinner table knowing it was sort for the next course.
The home where the main course was served, had a lovely garden but because of the change in the weather, we were seated on a decked area with cafe blinds and it was draughty. The meals of roast pork was n’t hot, but I understand it’s hard to get 30 hot meals out quickly.
The last house the hosts, as all of them, were gracious and happy to share their stories-perhaps a bit too detailed - again it was draughty being outside and the desert, a slice of berry cheesecake was ok but not great.
A nice enough evening but I think the both the hosts and guests could have been briefed better. As a visitor I wanted to know things like “how do you manage without basic foodstuffs?/. What about employment? What happens if you get sick? And so on. The hosts did a good job but I think a better description of the evening is warranted.
We’ve loved our holiday on NI but wouldn’t do the Progressive Dinner again.

Enlightening - Interesting stories. Would have liked at the third home for the host to relate real experiences rather than just open the floor for questions

Progressive dinner review. - The entree home was rustic but OK. The food left a lot to be desired. We had an entree of 2 lettuce leaves, 4 slices of cucumber and two slices of inedible tomato, home grown. The tomato was white due to the drought and could not be eaten. We had a spinkle of smoked Kingfish which her son had caught. It was really tasty but we all only got a small sprinkle each. Little effort and no cost to her. The main course was really good, the cook told us her story after we had eaten. She seemed exhausted and talking was a real effort. The dessert was the highlight of the night. Held at a beautiful home with real heritage and a great couple. The food was delicious. I'm told the venues and hosts do change.

A different evening - We had a pleasant night but I wasn't expecting such a large group. The food was good considering the circumstances and Alison's smoked fish entree (and banter) exceptional. Alison also has the best wine by far and you can take it on to the next venue. I was disappointed that the remainder of the evening was less personal. I think it's overpriced, I could do better at any of the good restaurants where staff were always ready to chat. It is a different island experience and as always Baunti Tours were very well organised. Our driver/Baunti guide for the evening had a wonderful way with words and entertained us enroute with interesting snippets. Thank you very much Rachael, we really enjoyed your company.
