Chill tour across old neighborhoods in Tokyo - If you're tired of the Shibuya scramble and all the busy, overwhelming tourist hotspots, book this tour. It was one of the highlights of my trip, which I didn’t expect. The whole vibe was super chill. We spent the morning just wandering the old-school neighborhoods of Nezu, Yanaka, and Nippori—lots of active walking, but with plenty of time to sit down (or stand and just take in the peaceful scenes) and just breathe. It was a much-needed reset. I loved the itinerary, especially walking through the red gates at Nezu Shrine and exploring Yanaka Ginza for the best local snacks and souvenirs (there’s a shop there specializing in teas and got some organic matcha and hojicha from there!) The best part was my guide, Takumi-san. it was like walking around with a super knowledgeable local friend (of course make sure you also ask a lot of questions!). His food recommendations were on point (if you like mochi or local restaurants to try out, he knows it all), and he gave me an amazing insight into everyday life. I loved how he discussed local culture, not just history. He answered all my random questions about life in Japan with such genuine enthusiasm and patience. Seriously great guy, and he made me feel totally comfortable. If you want to see the quiet, beautiful heart of old-school Tokyo, this is it. 10/10, highly recommend asking for Takumi-san!
