• Rila National Park - The journey from Sofia to the Mountain School takes approximately 2 hours. The typical hike around the lakes lasts about 7 to 8 hours, with an elevation gain of 730 meters.
  After an hour of walking, hikers will arrive at the Maliovitsa hut, where they can enjoy breakfast. The hike from the hut to Scary Lake takes less than 3 hours. Take a break at the shores of Scary Lake, which is situated at an elevation of 2451 meters.
  Descending to Yonchevo Lake takes about 1.5 hours. Yonchevo Lake is at an elevation of 2106 meters. From the lake, it takes a little over an hour to return to the Mountain School.
  The return transfer to Sofia is 2 hours. After this thrilling hike, hikers will be rewarded with enchanting memories from the mountain!
