• Bujumbura Mairie Province - Hotel pick-up will occur between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before the tour begins.
• Rusizi National Park - Welcome to the paradise of birds, crocodiles, and hippos in Burundi. Our next stop on this incredible tour of Bujumbura is Rusizi National Park, a key tourist attraction in Bujumbura City, located next to the Rusizi River. It is 15 km north of Bujumbura and is home to hippopotamuses and sitatungas. We will enjoy a guided boat tour to explore where the famous Rusizi River meets Lake Tanganyika.
• World Beach Bujumbura - Following our visit to Rusizi National Park, we will stop at Bujumbura’s premier beach resort, known as the World Beach of Bujumbura, by the shores of the stunning Lake Tanganyika. Here, you can enjoy unforgettable beach activities such as sunbathing, swimming, skating, surfing, jet skiing, and a delightful lunch at your own expense. • Cercle Hippique - As we drive along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, discover Burundi’s largest brewery, National Port, and many tourist attractions on the way to Burundi’s premier horse riding and world-class golfing experience. We will stop here for about an hour to explore the Cercle Hippique of Bujumbura.
• Musee Vivant - Our journey continues to Bujumbura’s largest zoo, the Living Museum of Bujumbura, which is both a zoo and museum in Burundi. Located in Bujumbura, the country’s largest city and former capital, it is one of the country’s two public museums, dedicated to the wildlife and art of Burundi. We will spend one hour here.
• Buyenzi - After the Musee Vivant experience, we will drive to Buyenzi to discover the authentic township experience of Bujumbura City. Visit a roadside mechanical workshop, learn about the history of this 90% Muslim community, and optionally taste some local dishes.
• Monument de l’Unite - Our final attraction will be a visit to the beautiful suburb of Bujumbura City, Kiriri, home to the Monument de l’Unite, where Burundians united to live as one people and one nation. The sunset view here is truly spectacular. You will then be dropped off at your hotel or accommodation in the city.
