Tour transports you back - Husband and I were exploring the area and found this site doing a little research. If you’re a history buff this is a great tour. Our guide was informative. The interactive experience makes you feel as if you are standing in the room as President Roosevelt gets sworn in. Kind of cool to realize you’re standing in the same rooms as major historical figures. Learned some new information and was reminded of parts of history of the US when things were just beginning.

A Worthwhile Experience of American History - What a beautifully restored historical treasure! As Teddy Roosevelt fans, we were thrilled to have this opportunity. The museum is interactive, pictures are permitted, and the tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. The story behind the inauguration is fascinating, and we are very glad we made the visit.

The Rough Rider - It was a great place to learn about how Teddy Roosevelt became president and all of his accomplishments. The Rough Rider Bobblehead is great also!

A great place to visit - Great experience. Tour was really interesting with time to explore parts of the house on our own before and after the tour. Felt like you were hearing a good story. Nice immersive and interactive experiences too. My 17 year old daughter loved it. Just enough information without overwhelming you and knowledgeable guide who could answer questions if one wanted to dig deeper. Highly recommended.

For lovers of history - I found the guided tour terribly boring. My husband loved it. My favorite activity was wandering around before and after the guided tour and reading the literature. I also loved looking at the ornate period furniture and wallpapers.

Worth a stop! - Small museum but very nice. Knowledgeable docent. The 2 short films were informative. Worth a stop! There was parking behind the museum and on the street behind it.

Hidden Piece of History - Since most inaugurations taken place in Washington DC, we were surprised to learn Theodore Roosevelt was inaugurated in this home. Free tour takes about an hour.
