Tango Porteño: A Last-Minute Highlight - We had time for one final activity in Buenos Aires before flying home the next day, so on Sunday, November 23, we decided to attend a performance at Tango Porteño, conveniently located near our hotel in Retiro. We had passed by the venue several times during our stay and were curious to experience it for ourselves. Because it was a last-minute decision, all of the floor seats were already booked. We were seated in the balcony section, which is open seating. It is worth noting that this historic building did not appear to have elevators, so the balcony may not be accessible for guests with mobility challenges. The view from the balcony was partially obstructed, and many people were moving around or switching seats to find a better angle. One pleasant surprise was that photography and video recording were encouraged. This was a welcome change from another tango show we had attended earlier in the trip, where all photography was strictly prohibited. The performance itself was excellent. It featured a wide range of themes, with tango serving as the unifying thread throughout the different acts. The live music ensemble, made up of talented and diverse musicians, brought great energy to the show and added to the overall experience. The performance lasted about two hours, which felt just right. After the show, we hoped to browse the gift gallery for souvenirs, but unfortunately, it was closed and unattended. Instead, we stepped outside and took some beautiful photos in front of the nearby Teatro Colón, which was spectacularly illuminated at night. We then walked a couple of blocks to find a quieter spot where we could safely hail an Uber, since the area directly in front of the theater was quite congested after the show. Overall, the entertainment value for the price was outstanding. We were very satisfied with the evening and glad we made time for this experience. Next time, we will be sure to book in advance so we can enjoy the show from the main floor rather than the balcony.

Exceptional! - The best attraction we bought!!! The show is wonderful, almost 1:30. We bought directly on the home website, the tickets for "preferential show". This modality offers transfer back and forth in your hotel, two empanadas for each visitor and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at will. We paid 514 reais for two people. Next time, I will definitely buy the ticket with dinner, which seemed to be a delight!!!

Tango in Buenos Aries - A tango show not to be missed. Professional dancers and singers. Great music. Colourful costumes. Good view of stage.

Fantastic experience - The show was fantastic. I would highly recommend it. As others have stated, it’s not just Tango dancers but a theatrical type experience. We sat all the way in the back and still had a great view of the stage. We did not do the dinner but we had quick service for our drinks. The show goes from 10-11:15pm. Highly recommended.

Great show - The Tango show was fantastic. The performance of all the dancers, singers and musicians were amazing. Buying the ticket early from Viator made it really convenient.

Excellent experience - Great show, the venue was very nice. The cocktails are well made. The Empanadas were tasty. My family and I enjoyed it very much. Remembering my grandmother singing the same songs of Carlos Gardel. We loved it.

A good show with restricted viewing seats when purchasing show only tickets - A good show, but the show only seats are up high with restricted viewing and the only drink allowed in the area was water. Nice theatre.

Tickets for the show without meals. It’s harder to see the scene. A varied show, the tango lasts 30 minutes. - The tango lasts only 30 minutes out of a total of 1h15. Choreographies follow one after another, without any connection between them. It was still interesting for a first discovery of tango.

Poor service - Staff was extremely rude. We were told that we will have good spots but we couldn’t see anything and were made to sit behind. The hall was overpacked with people where the point was to make money but no customer satisfaction or service. Tango artists were great and it would have been an enjoyable experience only if……😬😒
