Additional Information

The ‘Soccer Shrine’ Museum can be found inside the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. This stadium holds significance as the place where the greatest football hero, at the tender age of 15, made his grand entry into international football with an Argentinos Juniors jersey. Fate had it that years later he would play his inaugural match donning the Argentine National Team’s jersey here, and Lionel Messi would score his first goals for the Albiceleste.
Argentinos Juniors enjoys global recognition given the sheer number and high-caliber players who have emerged from its rank and file.
One distinctive attribute of the museum is that it was crafted entirely by supporters and members of the society, contributing their labor on a voluntary basis. The museum houses photographs, cards, trophies, jerseys from a plethora of campaigns, among various other precious items bequeathed by its enthusiasts.
Apart from the Museum, our tour will include the grounds, the locker rooms, the main lobby, the press box and the stadium’s seating areas.

Maradona forever! - My favorite football player, bar none! I started watching football because of him⚽️ Today I visited the Argentinian youth team where he started playing football when he was 8 years old. At that time, he was wearing a jersey with "Little Onions" written on it! My husband asked the driver who introduced us: "How do you compare Maradona and Messi?" The driver said: "Maradona is our spirit, Messi is a star. I met Maradona on the street. Twice, he happily chatted with fans and took photos. Once when he was getting a haircut, fans asked him to take photos, and he said, "Can you wait until I finish my haircut?" When someone saw Messi in a restaurant and wanted to take a photo, Messi became very angry. Get up and leave.” The Argentine Youth Team has set up a memorial hall for Maradona at the stadium, and many fans will send their own gifts. There are jerseys given by Chinese fans; there is also a child who placed his favorite toys here. I left my sunglasses there! Four streets away from the stadium is Maradona's former home, which was given to him by the Argentine Youth Team when he renewed his contract at the age of 18. He lives here with his parents, brothers and sisters, a total of 10 people. The house is not big, a two-story building. His bedroom is also very small.
