Perfect hike - We always try to seek out a nice hike and escape from the city when on a city break and this trip was perfect. Good communication and organisation. Beautiful views and nature. Friendly and helpful guide, was interesting to talk to him about Hungarian culture and politics. He also took some great pictures which he shared after the trip.

Wonderful hike trip through the Danube bend! - Very good experience with the One Day Wonder Hike with our guide Gyuri. Through the phone we made a last minute reservation and our contact with Gyuri was clear and pleasant. During the trip Gyuri knew many things of the nature of the forest and explained everything. As our guide he set a stable pace with hiking and regularly checked if we where okay. For our surprise he even took pictures during our trip. Although the canyon section of the hike wasn’t available because of closure of rock falling, we instead visited the castle of Visegrad which was beautiful. Overall we had a great experience and an awesome day!

Challenging but rewarding way to see Budapest! - My partner and I did this hike the end of April 2024. Attila guided our tour. He was great. We learned a lot about Hungarian and Budapest history but also got plenty of time to just enjoy the setting. The first half of the hike is very challenging with one of the steepest grades we’ve ever encountered and some technical bouldering—and we seek out difficult hikes around the world. The hard work was well worth it. The summit offered panoramic views of Hungary and even into Slovakia. After the climb, you hike through the Hungarian wilderness, which is stunning. The forest is lush with tall trees, streams and vivid and diverse bird song. We also saw the Danube Bend, another beautiful scene. I highly recommend this hike and our guide, Attila. I would probably pass on this particular hike if you’re not in decent shape. There was a young woman in our group who really struggled.

Great experience - We spent a wonderful day with Gyuri on the 'One Day Wonder' hike. A varied tour with wonderful views, decent climbs, gentle forest stretches and a picturesque gorge! Everything was super organized, we were well prepared and picked up on time - everything was as described. Gyuri is super nice and conveys his knowledge and love of nature in the best possible way. An experience beyond expectations - Gyuri is passionate, professional and generous. We were a school group of 39 and had a wonderful day of winter hiking in January! Giyuri went out into the field 3 days before our visit to check the condition of the trail. He saw the need for spikes in certain conditions and took care of buying them for all the participants (which we then reimbursed). He and his partner made us feel confident and gave the students a taste for adventure. They took pictures and brought snacks, making the experience even more complete than we’d hoped! Thanks again!!

Great adventure with an amazing guide - Our hiking adventure with Gyuri was fantastic. The weather was less than ideal and he immediately worked with us to get the best experience out of it. He researched the hikes we were going to take for weather and offered us 3 options to ensure we got what we wanted out of the hike. With the rain and clouds, we opted for a different hike then originally planned, and we were so happy that we did. The waterfalls and gorge were ideal for the rainy day. Great colors, sounds, and the right level of challenge throughout. Besides the hiking, Gyuri is a great guide for enjoying conversations of history, nature, and fun stories of previous travels. If you are considering hiking with him, you should definitely do it as he will do more than meet your expectations.

Perfect day of hiking - The day was amazing. Easy pick up from our hotel and then off to Dömös with two other lovely people. The hike was challenging and fun for the first part with a rewards along the way and at the top. Beautiful! The canyon area was completely different and also very fun. A different beautiful. Gyuri was our guide and he was wonderful. Shared facts on the region, shared some snacks, and was a delight to have guiding us. Would highly recommend to people who want a break from the city and want to see the beautiful nature that Hungary has to offer.

Wonderful Experience!!! - Absolutely loved the one day hike experience with Gyuri. I went on my own and Gyuri was great company with plenty of knowledge about Budapest and the area around where we were hiking. Spectacular views and a very doable hike. Would 100% recommend this hike if you are looking to do something active during your stay in Budapest.
