Normafa Park - Trying to escape the concrete jungle of the busy city? Get ready to enjoy a unique daily hike in calm forests on the hills of Buda around the city. During a few hours walk in the beautiful nature, you are going to have breathtaking views on Budapest and hear interesting stories that you wouldn’t find in any guide book. I will take you to all the secret spots and lead you on off-the-beaten-path trails, which are not even known by most of the locals either. During the hike I will teach you how to read trail markers so you can’t get lost, even if you are alone without a map or GPS. I am a nature fan, I will also show you the little miracles of the woods. As I grew up here, you will have the chance to talk with me about life in Hungary, and there are no taboos in this conversation.
Join me and receive your surprise after the hike, a little gift for completing the hiking tour. It is going to be a real refreshment after the crowded, noisy city, nature is going to fill you up with energy! :)

Wonderful hike in the buda snowy hills - Fantastic snow hike, which was the right level of challenge and we thoroughly enjoyed as a couple. Laszlo was a great host, sharing lots of interesting stories along the way and adjusting the pace just right for us. We even had a go on a small sled down a ski slope!

Amazing activity - Everything was excellent, the tour starts easy and the difficulty goes up the views are spectacular and the explanations of the guide are very good makes the tour very enjoyable and ends knowing more about nature in Budapest

Great Budapest hike - Laszlo was such a wonderful tour guide, so knowledgeable and friendly. He shared a lot of Hungarian history and we weren’t rushed at all. I was exceptionally lucky with the day that I picked my hike as the snow was plentiful. But even without the snow this would have been awesome, some incredible views. I highly recommend this hike tour! 😊

Absolutely outstanding experience. This hiking tour was one of the highlights of my time in Budapest. The route was beautifully chosen, with stunning views, peaceful trails, and a great balance between nature and city perspectives. It felt authentic, not touristy, and gave me a side of Budapest I never would have discovered on my own.
The guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate sharing insights about the area, history, and local nature while keeping the pace comfortable and the group well taken care of. Everything was well organized, from meeting point to finish. If you enjoy being active, seeing real landscapes.

You have to try this hike. - You have to do this light hike to get away from the busy city. Fall colors were beautiful and Laszlo is the best guide, very knowledgeable and just loves the outdoors. His passion for nature just shines through.

Amazing viewpoints from hike - This hike with Laszlo was definitely one of the highlights from my trip to Budapest and I have recommended it to literally anyone I’ve told about my trip. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Budapest, the woods around us and advising of things I’d never have known otherwise. The viewpoints were beautiful and they felt like a real treat after the hike. From the start point I wasn’t sure if I’d make it to the lookout tower but we did it and Laszlo was patient, chatty and made sure we moved at a comfortable pace. Highly recommend this original excursion in Budapest- thank you Laszlo!

The highlight of my trip! - This was such a fantastic experience whilst visiting Budapest. Laszlo was a great tour guide for our easy morning hike across the surrounding hills. It felt really personalised, walking whislt we chatted about all things nature, culture, history and life in general. The lookout tower provided an amazing and unrivalled view and being surrounding by forest was a refreshing break from the busy noise of the city. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see a different side of Budapest and I have not stopped talking about it since I returned home to the UK. Thank you Laszlo - I look forward to booking a future hike when I make it back over there! :)

Highlight at the Highest point of Budapest! - My hike with Laszlo from Trails of Budapest was so much more than what I expected. He is so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Budapest and pointed out a slow worm that isn’t a worm at all, wild mushrooms, death watch beetle trails and so much more. When he pointed out where we would hike to I wondered if I’d manage but he was so encouraging and before I knew it I was at the highest point in Budapest! I have to say, it was the highlight of my trip!
