We meet all guests inside the bar and restaurant called PLATZ (address: Szent István tér 4, 1051 Hungary). We ask everyone to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the experience, otherwise we can't wait, and we can't offer a refund!

Hungarian wines discovered - Our sommelier, Lidia, was both extremely knowledgeable & had practical experience of Hungarian viniculture. Through her expertise we enjoyed 6 superb Hungarian wines ranging from crisp whites to flavoursome reds, guiding us through how best to enjoy each with complementary charcuterie & cheeses.

Exceptional Wine Tasting - This was an outstanding evening. Our sommelier, Lidia, was knowledgeable and passionate about wine. We learned so much from her expertise as we tasted several different Hungarian wines. The tasting took place at Platz, an eclectic restaurant with a fun vibe. The charcuterie board featured delicious local meats and cheeses. All in all, it was a great evening and we highly recommend. This is one of the tours we will remember most fondly in our European travels. Lidia made all the difference with her attention to detail, interesting stories and engaging manner, not to mention her vast knowledge of wine from around the world.

Great Food and Wine Tasting experience in Budapest - Great Food and Wine Tasting experience in the heart of Budapest ! The wine selection was very good and paired very well with the cured meat and cheese selection. The Sommelier gave us a detailed description / history of the different wines which made the experience even more enjoyable! This experience will give you a good taste of the white, rosé and red Hungarian wines served and the potential of those wines. I really recommend this experience if you would like to discover Hungarian wines, really worth the price in my humble opinion. P.S : The list of the different wines tasted can be provided by the Sommelier at the end of the Wine Tasting experience for those who wish to purchase them !

Budapest’s Must-Do Wine Experience - If you’re in Budapest and have an interest in wine, this is an experience not to be missed. The tasting was led by Henriett, a Hungarian with a degree in winemaking who has travelled extensively around the world. This allowed us to compare wines and techniques from Hungary and beyond, offering a well-rounded and insightful perspective. Henriett is not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly charming, making the entire experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Must do activity for anyone who loves or like wine! - This was such an amazing and unique experience! Our guide Henriette was so knowledgeable and friendly! We came away with such an appreciation for Hungarian wines and the provided bites were fantastic as well. As someone who's done countless wine tasting in America and Europe, I can say that this was a one of a kind experience. The interaction with our guide was the best part. We came away with so much knowledge about wine, the wine making process, and even our own palates! The location is right next to the basilica, so the views were one of a kind! Highly recommended!

A great way to learn about Hungarian wines - This was one of the highlights of our visit to Budapest. Our Sommelier, Atilla, was very knowledgeable and gave a thorough background on the wine industry and methods in Hungary. The one disappointment was the food. This is the description I read: "sample a range of Hungarian dishes from one of the city’s most popular restaurants." We had a ham and cheese platter with some olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Then a small-bite, yummy dessert. There was no range of dishes to sample. There was nothing "Hungarian" that I haven't had before in the US.
