Super fun and beautiful tour! I took my teenage kids and we all loved it. Our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. The kayaking was a bit challenging in the windy open water, but that was a very small part of the tour. Most of the tour was relatively easy paddling and allowed plenty of time to look at the amazing surroundings. I highly recommend this tour!
Corey was a great guide. It was a wonderful experience
I did this tour in 2011 and was excited to bring someone along who loves nature and hadn’t done a tour like this before. Our tour guide was very pleasant, knowledgeable and fun. We had a great time and would recommend this activity to anyone traveling to Sanibel/Captiva!
From "let's go kayaking tomorrow" to booking the Buck Key Mangrove Kayak Tour was a just a few minutes of research. The location was easy to find and included parking which is a BIG plus. Nobody else booked our timeslot so we we had a private tour, and it was absolutely wonderful. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and took her time to point out all sorts of wildlife, vegetation, and added local history. My wife especially loved the Mangrove tunnel. So, if you're in the area, and looking for local kayaking, don't hesitate - just book it - you won't be disappointed!
Cory was great - helpful and informative
Great tour with insightful information about local history and ecosystem.
Eli was a great guide. She gave the best tutorial on how to kayak I have ever heard/seen. Her tour was fun and informative. She was friendly, welcoming and clearly loves what she does. We had a great time.
Tour guide very informative and helpful. Great 2 hours of kayaking in new territory.
We so enjoyed this 2 hour kayak tour! Our guide, Eli, was excellent. She was patient with me, a first time kayaker, setting a pace that we all could manage. We learned quite a bit about the area, saw many birds and manatees. Eli knows all about the ecology and provided answers to all of our questions. It was a fun experience!
We took the 9am kayak tour. The tour was great. Very informative And the mangroves we amazing.
We all had a great time and learnt and saw loads. Great fun to be out on the water
I liked talking to Eli and it was cool to go in the mangrove tunnel. I loved being in the Sound. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Plus the manatee and dolphins!
Really enjoyed the Ciara water. The mangrove tunnel was awesome! My first time on a sit on top kayak, loved it!
Alec did a great job telling us about the history of the place as well as spotting wildlife. There was a lot to see despite less than ideal water conditions. The tour was at a reasonable pace and not rushed.
Good staff, communicated well on all aspects,
Awesome tour. Crew was awesome. I can’t wait to come back and do it again. Thank you
Our guide Alec was fun and great (and Alexia? Alessia? was great too). We saw so much wildlife and Alec was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and really wonderful at making the various connections between ecosystems, species, environmental phenomena, and human impact on the environment, etc. The whole experience was enjoyable and educational and far superior to other experiences I have had over the years with other vendors on the islands. These two staff members are great, you should keep them if you can! :-)
Eli was a great guide.. very knowledgeable and great with the adults and the kids. Buck keys was very pretty and loved the strip through the mangroves.. very "amazon like"!!
Our family of five had a great time! Liz was more than knowledgeable on well, everything~ the mangroves, the shell’s, the birds & fish. We had manatee swim under & around us! We’d recommend this to anyone, all ages & levels of kayakers.
We had an amazing Kayak tour and saw things we have never seen. Brian was a great tour guide. I highly recommend his tour when spending time in Captiva.
had a great time paddling with Eli. she clearly enjoys her job and enjoys sharing info about the area and flora/fauna with visitors. nice to meet a fellow native floridian too.
We really enjoyed our tour! The mangrove trees/tunnel is an amazing sight. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. A unique experience that a kayak and nature enthusiast would enjoy! We had a great time!
The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging which made the tour enjoyable. Saw lots of manatees and other wildlife which was a pleasure. The instruction prior to going in the kayak was concise. A totally enjoyable tour...thank you
Bob was great, very friendly and humorous. We were able to see manatees, dolphins and Carl (ask about Carl)!
Beautiful day and our guide, Eli, was very knowledgeable and fun
Guide Joey was relaxed knowledgeable and allowed the tour to just unfold itself all 4 of us had a great time and learned a lot
Our guide was very pleasant she was very knowledgeable on the history, ecology, biology of the island. We had fun kayaking and was able to see a variety of birds and different sea creatures.
Pleasant paddle with a knowledgeable guide in beautiful surroundings.
Pretty laid back adventure, and I learned a few things about the habitat and animals in the area. I loved loved loved the cormorants
Bob was a great guide and extremely interesting.
Great time! Brian was an awesome guide and we got to see manatees right next to boat. Would do it again!
We each had our own kayak ( but could have gone together had we chosen to) and enjoyed paddling through the mangrove trail. The tour guide set a relaxing pace which was good since we had not been kayaking in years. The guide pointed out many wild life species and explained about the ecosystem. We enjoyed the trip and would go again!
