Super day from Bucarest - We had a fabulous day. Emmanuel welcomed us on the bus , gave us the rules and we were off on time. We'll organised trip all day, plenty of time at each stop tomlook about. Castles were brillant and Emmanuel gave excellent tour of Pères castle. Info was given on the bus which was informative and relevant. We were asked to keep to time which we all did and had a loveky smooth day . Highly recommend this tour

Absolute must do whilst in Bucharest! - A lot of reviews on here moaning about awful traffic, long queues and not having much time at each stop, we didn't experience this at all! We did purchase our entry tickets for both castles online before the trip but we didn't need to, there were no queues at all and walked straight in. We had around 2 hours at each stop which was plenty of time to enjoy them. I will caveat all of this by stating that we visited mid week in March, our tour guide did say that in peak summer or during the ski season the traffic can be pretty awful and it could take hours to get between stop so pick your dates well! The castles themselves are beautiful and definitely worth going inside. The drive through the mountains was also stunning. Our tour guide Emmanuel was amazing, so knowledgeable and provided some great recommendations on restaurants and things to do in both Brasiv and Bucharest. He also swapped the itinerary around to ensure we avoided any crowds and made the most out of our day. We arrived back in Bucharest at 7pm so it is a long day, however it doesn't feel like it as the drives are broken up by the different stops. It was probably a 50/50 split between time on and off the coach. 100% worth it in my opinion and a must do while in Romania!

Fantastic experience - Our tour guide was amazing. Very educational and welcoming. We spent 12hrs with the same two guys. One for English one for Italian and the tour itself was fantastic and comfortable. Would highly recommend this trip 100 percent. Thankyou for a fantastic experience

Good experience - Overall, it was a good experience. The guides' and the driver's work was excellent. We enjoyed the day, though at Peres castle, there were no tickets at the time we arrived. And maybe at Brasov, I would recommend providing more free time for travelers (with extension of the whole tour time, of course)

The tour was really fun... - The tour was really fun and interesting; it's something different from just exploring the city as we got to travel through some traditional towns and see the mountains. Seeing 'Dracula's' castle was really cool, as was visiting Peleș castle. The guide didn't overdo it and we got plenty of time to explore the castles and grounds on our own, and of course take lots of photos. Bear in mind, however, that the guide does walk quickly so you have to keep up, and it's quite a strenuous walk to 'Dracula's' castle, up a steep cobbled path, so be prepared! Brașov was stunning and definitely worth making the trip for. There were lots of places to sit and take it all in, and lots of eateries too. It's so different from Bucharest that the trip felt more like a full-blown holiday rather than just a city break. The guide (Alex) was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and funny too! He didn't overdo it and talk the whole time on the bus, so we were able to chill in quiet throughout the journey. He pointed out the key places and shared some interesting stories. On the drive back, he passed around a piece of paper so we could write down any questions we had and then answered them all for us, which was a really nice touch. 10/10 for Alex. The trip lasted 12 hours; we departed Bucharest at 7am, and arrived back at 7pm. It's a long day but very worth it. The bus was comfy and the driver was good. However, there was no eating on the bus which was quite annoying as we had to arrive at the departure point for 6.30am, and the first leg of the trip was 2 hours, so you have to get up extra early to have breakfast in advance, and wait quite a while until lunch. Also, not stopping for a toilet break during the first leg of the drive was not ideal, so bear this in mind if you have a weak bladder as it might not make the most comfortable experience! Highly recommend.

Good experience but be aware it’s another €60pp for the castles. - The tour was very good. A very long day, we left at 7am and returned at 9pm. The Peleş castle was very cool and there’s a cafe right outside, Braşov was a very nice town with cool buildings and draculas castle was good. Draculas castle was a little underwhelming but not the tours fault at all. Nicholas our guide was really nice and very helpful. The tour does offer you to buy entry when you’re on the bus but It does cost an additional €60/~£55 per person to enter each castle which is a bit steep and they only had 30 tickets for Peleş castle so some people couldn’t enter. You can buy entry on the door for both. All in all a good trip.

"All-round carefree package" with space for questions and breaks - A bit chaotic at the beginning because there were 2 buses - 1x Italian, 1x English with guide. We had engl. Aufioguide booked and stood by the English bus, then we were sent to the ital.Bus for the audio guide booking, already sat in it and yet had to change again because more Ital. guests came. Confusing in the early morning, but ultimately our luck; the guide Alex was very open-minded, gave information about the area between the tours and also gave lists for questions on the bus around and informed about everything we wanted to know Touris. The double ticket for 2 castles (Bran without guide, Peles with guide by Alex) cost 60€ and could be bought on the bus. The castles were very contrasting, but both absolutely worth seeing and on a very great level; charming Bran and the pompous Peles. A great experience. The bus driver took us through the serpentines and the Carpathians were a beautiful environment. In Brasov we had time for a delicious lunch on our own and could stretch our legs a bit. In general, the bus was very comfortable, the ride relaxing and you had enough time to sleep or listen to Alex's explanations. We haven't experienced this before: no food on the bus, which is ok. Otherwise a full day, but absolutely worthwhile to collect impressions outside the Hauot city!

Very long day - Unfortunately this trip is 12-14 hours with most of it sat on the bus and just stopping at 3 sites. One highlight was our fabulous guide Emmanuel who was both informative and fun. We were lucky and had sunny weather so particularly enjoyed the Braşov stop as we could eat lunch in the sun. A better way to explore Transylvania would be to stay in Braşov. But can’t fault the tour company, it’s just that the distance combined with heavy traffic on route is too much for one day .

Tickets to castles can be purchased on site without problems - Bran Castle is nice on the outside but inside it leaves a lot to be desired. They sell it as Dracula Castle and all very top but it disappoints. Peles' is impressive inside and worth it. Tickets to both can be purchased as soon as they arrive. We arrived and there were no lines. The guide sold us a pack of tickets to both castles and a tour of brasov (which he later did not do) on the same bus (I think he scammed us). You go with the uncertainty of having little time and not knowing if you will be able to get tickets in the castles when you arrive and they sell you that for sure and buy it, but not at all worth it. Tickets can be purchased on site, without queues and much cheaper. Guides take advantage of the tourist and the lack of information.
