It features over 60 authentic houses, farmsteads, windmills, watermills, and churches from all of Romania’s historic regions, with most structures dating back to the mid-19th century. The museum boasts a wonderful souvenir shop, a stall offering traditional Romanian sweets and cakes, and a restaurant, La Francu, located in an original 19th-century inn. It’s a delightful destination for families, as children particularly enjoy the museum.
The next stop is in front of the Palace of Parliament, where you can capture photos of the world’s second-largest administrative building, known as the most notorious creation of former dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. The visit to the Palace of Parliament lasts for 1.5 hours.
After the tour, you will return to the location on Unirii Boulevard, where you can admire the famous artesian fountains.
