Great activity with small time investment - Exhibits were very nicely done. Audio guides were easy to use. There's a bonus virtual reality exhibit that explains the story of cocoa (costs an extra 5 euro). My only disappointment is that the summary sounded as if there would be multiple candy-making demonstrations, but there was only one.

A great way to spend some time, and learn about the history of Chocolate. - This is a thoughtful, and well curated, journey through the history of Chocolate, it is not simply an opportunity to fill your face with chocolate ! You learn about it’s cultivation and veneration by the Inca, how it was brought to, and made fashionable in Europe, and how what was an initially spiced drink, became confectionery. How the Belgians developed chocolate into Pralines. At the end of the tour there is the opportunity to watch a Chocolate Master demonstrate making Pralines. A great tour, and great value, highly recommended.

A chocolate experience - This is a worthwhile place to visit and the self guiding audios are easy to use with lots of good information. There are opportunities for chocolate tasting and buying but they also do courses which I wish I had done now, next time. The only thing I thought was slightly bizarre was the film on the story and making of chocolate which is a bit more Wonka than informative but that is only purely my opinion, you can skip through that if necessary. A good place to visit

It’s OK. If you are going to Antwerp, visit Chocolate Nation there. - The title of my review says it all. This is a small museum that has a great chocolate story, but it is quite dated. Your museum fee includes a handheld listening device that you tap on several squares on the wall that give you the audio behind the exhibit you are looking at. In short, it tells how chocolate came to Belgium and how it got the reputation it has today. Sad to tell you that the cocoa beans are not even grown in Europe. The plus is that you get to try five different chocolate chips as well as a Belgian “praline” at the end of your tour. This museum is always crowded. It was somewhat annoying that you keep bumping into other visitors trying to tap on the audio squares. This would not be on the top of my list if I was in Brussels for only a day.

We were in the first time... - We were in the first time slot of the day and were not told that the chocolate making demonstration started at 11:00. As a consequence we only saw the last few minutes and would have had to wait 45 mins for the next slot. I would suggest that you inform customers of the start times and that the first demonstration should not start until 11:15.

Not worth it - It was expensive , not bery interesting and a bit shabby . I wished we'd just gone to a chocolataire and spent the same money on product.

Dated and uninteresting. - Many displays were dated and dusty so looked shabby. It wasn’t interactive, so held little interest for me. The chocolate shop was small and uninviting to purchase items. Front counter staff looked tired or bored or both. I think a makeover with a professional to make it stand out and be inviting would be good. Seeing someone make real chocolates would be a bonus.

Awful and a total waste of money - A terrible place and a total waste of 14 euros. The staff are extremely rude and do not explain anything. When I asked for my self-guide to be changed into English (even though the cashier had asked), it was met by a sigh and a disparaging comment in French. The museum itself is very crowded, small, very hot and, frankly, extremely boring. The only highlight are a few chocolate buttons towards the end. I would totally avoid and save your 14 euros to buy some lovely chocolate in this wonderful city.

Filthy and not at all entertaining - Do not waste your time or money on this. The place is run-down, filthy, uninteresting and just all-in-all a great disappointment. I walked through the whole exhibition and was left with a very bad and dusty taste in my mouth. Not something you want when the museum is about something as delicious as chocolate.
