Fantastic chocolate tour! - A must do! Not only did we visit 5 or 6 chocolateries but we also stopped to see the janneken and Maneken pis and the dog! So it also counts as a city tour. The chocolates were fantastic and our guide was very nice. One recommendation: it would have been nice to have a somewhere to write where we were going and what we were tasting, like with wine tastings.

Brilliant for chocaholics! - Amazing three-and-a-half hours. So much quality chocolate, including a workshop where we made chocolate-coated biscuits with toppings. Educational too but not in an oppressive way.
Avo was an excellent guide. Saw him four days later: he remembered my name and which football team I supported! That's the measure of our guide.
Thoroughly recommended.

Great chocolate tour through Brussels - I was in Brussels for my partner’s work trip and did this activity solo. I joined about 19 other people in the tour.
Avo was great throughout the entire day. He explained how our tour would progress in advance, so people knew what to expect. He also provided a lot of knowledge along the way.
Our itinerary was to do two tastings at confectionaries, then walk to the chocolate workshop to create our personal chocolates, then we returned out to the Grand Palace to do two tastings at chocolatiers. In between we were shown some noteworthy sites along the way.
I think it was smart to layout the itinerary this way so that we could acquire some knowledge so that we could appreciate the difference between a chocolatiers and a confectioner. There was definitely more than enough chocolate tastings along the way.
Some of the younger participants seemed to have a hard time focusing during the informational portions of the tour. For this reason (I’m assuming) some of the information was given quite quickly, and it was hard to catch everything.
If I had to make one suggestion, it would be to either increase the minimum age for the tour or for our guide to speak a little more slowly on the tour so that we could understand everything more thoroughly.

Great tour and SO MUCH delicious chocolate - Avo was an engaging and passionate guide who knew a TON about chocolate and Brussels in general. We loved all of the chocolates we tried and were impressed with how much chocolate was included in the tour. Our 12 and 14 year olds enjoyed themselves, and all of us learned a lot while also getting a good sense of Brussels as a city. We really appreciated Avo’s recommendations for dinner and frites—the restaurant was my husband’s favorite of our 10 day Europe trip! Would definitely recommend.

Jabberwocky - Avo was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. He did speak good English, but spoke very fast to the point where he was difficult to understand much of the time. We felt that the information that he gave us was a little over and above what we needed or expected. And in addition to that much of what he said, we could not understand because he spoke so fast. We also felt that the tour was a little too long, probably because much of it we were unable to understand due to his mode of speaking.

Poor tour - For the cost of the tour, it is certainly not worth the price. Our tour guide was friendly, but didn’t really seem have a lot of information to give about the chocolate or area when we were passing. The information was just repeated several times at different chocolate shops or locations.
The chocolate-making workshop was poor. We were all given melted chocolate to drizzle onto plastic and then we could add things like almonds, dried fruits, coconut, etc., too. Again, there wasn’t really much to it, and not really a ‘workshop’.
Everything seemed quite poorly organised. The workshop place was not ready for us, and we walked aimlessly for a little bit until they called to say that they had set-up.
We’d not recommend the tour, but instead visit the chocolate shops instead. They are typically happy to give you free samples anyway. If there was an option to do so, we’d request a refund.

Friendly and professional guidance but poor content. - The tour guide guy was very nice and friendly but the quality of the whole service could have been a lot better as comparison to other companies they provide less oportunity to use professional chocolate making tools so we were just missing the real pastry workshop experience.
The quality of the chocolate we used is absolute premium and the pantry lady was also very friendly and helpful.
