Top - Michel's a top dog. Thanks so much for the fun and educational tour of Brussels. Tasted good beers and heard a lot about the history.

Beerwalk Brussels - Had a nice sunny afternoon in Brussels together with our guide Jo and 10 friends. During the private tour he took us along a number of sights and let us enjoy nice beers. Both about the city center and the beers he knew how to tell everything, definitely recommended!

Tasting beer history - Very pleasant, informative and delicious.
We have been treated very 'properly' - as a Flemish person would say -.
Flexibly adapted to our wishes regarding length and moment.
Everything professional.
point of interest; radio in the pubs turned down during explanations.
Everything else tip top
And I ended up with a nice glass and the photos of course

Lovely walk full of fun facts and nice beers - Together with Caroline, we had the honor and pleasure of receiving a private tour from Dirk Verwilghen through the beer history of Bxl and the Zinnekes. Tastefully accompanied by some tasty discoveries. Dirk took his time to get to know the beer culture better. We discovered a few blissful places in Bxl-Centrum. Les Brasseurs, The Goldblommeke in paper, Tavern Manneken Pis, À la Mort Subite, À la Becasse, Théâtre Royal de Toone, Poechenellekelder, Beyond Bruegel, Bruegel in Black and White, GIST, Delirium Village,... We were super lucky that no one else booked this Beerwalk on this Friday afternoon, so the three of us relaxed strolling through Bxl. Big kudos to Dirk
If we plan this Bearwalk again later, but with friends, can we ask for Dirk specifically?:-)

Beer walk Brussels - Little was told. Paying €45 for this afternoon was excessively expensive. I expected more of it.

Moderate success - I had pretty high expectations when booking the tour as I already had some experience with a guided Beertour in Antwerp. We had a booking on a Saturday evening with a group of 10 guys in their late 30's.
The guide was a last minute replacement of our initial guide and was not really prepared for the tour. Some of us are interested in the historical background of the city and some of us aren't so keep it short, interesting and dynamic. The voice of the guide was not very loud so it was sometimes difficult to understand in the crowed Saturday evening streets of Brussels.
We visited some interesting cafés but on one location we sat in the back and in the renovated part of the café where they organize meetings instead of drinking beers.
I expected to drink beers in a full glass and a glass dedicated to the beer we were served, but in stead we got a smaller glass and had to divide one bottled beer over 2 glasses which was a bit of a bummer. The focus of this tour is on beer, so make sure full-fledged beers are offered.
We can't blame the guide here, because she did the best she could, but there is definitely more to take out of this event!

Are you going to Brussels with friends or family? Then skip this tour. - For 45 euros p.p. we were promised a private tour where we would drink five beers accompanied by an enthusiastic, young guide, while getting information about these beers and the city itself.
In practice it looked quite different. Nothing to the detriment of the guide, she tried very hard, but it was still very disappointing. In particular, the handling afterwards by the organization makes me write this review.
Instead of a private tour it became a merged group with a number of others so we were actually too many and the guide was not easily understood.
The promised five beers are in practice five half beers, you share each bottle with two people. Why this was chosen I do not fully understand and it does not meet the expectation.
We had to pay in advance for ten people when we had already announced that only eight people would be present. In terms of costs, we would be compensated afterwards. Of course, this never happened.
In addition, we indicated that we were not satisfied with how it went, in view of the above. After many messages from our side and hardly a response from their side, and if we heard it was an empty promise, there is no other option but to take our loss and save others through this review.
If you are going to Brussels and would like to spend 45 euros, instead of this tour you can better:
- Virtual Room Brussels, great fun to do, or;
- Sit on the terrace and drink about ten beers, or;
- Go to the Hard Rock Café and enjoy burgers and fajitas, or;
- Give 45 euros to a homeless person, still someone happy with it, or;
- Set fire to 45 euros. Seems like a shame, but you're having more fun than the alternative.

Stay far away from Beerwalk Brussels - I don't write reviews often, but I really want to save other groups from this activity and avoid similar disappointments. Our experiences were unfortunately very similar to an earlier Review here: poor communication, poor response time, paid for more people than there actually were (while this was known in advance), booked a private tour (and paid for) but instead of that we were combined with another also quite large group, which led to unintelligibility and the total lack of a connection. You then drink half glasses of beer from the same glass you keep walking around with, and those are not even special beers or in very special cafes. In fact, we had visited almost all the beers and cafes ourselves earlier that day. Coincidence? The guide did her best and was friendly, but all in all this experience was heavily overpriced and deeply disappointing. We especially felt sorry for the guide. Afterwards, we contacted the organisation and asked for an allowance. That seemed reasonable to us, since we had paid too much for 2 people but especially because there was nothing private about this private tour. We are now a month ahead, but still no concession has been made. It was indicated that the self-mentioned deadline was not met because there was 1 national holiday - but now we are 1.5 weeks further. We have completely lost faith and this organization was unfortunately a blot on an otherwise beautiful day with friends in Brussels. We therefore strongly advise against Beerwalk (at least in Brussels) for outings with friends. Or you must want to pay 45€ pp for 5 half beers and a few hours of utter lost time.
