Ghent - Embark on a full-day trip to Ghent and Bruges with sightseeing walking tours of these medieval historical cities in Flanders (~110 km), showcasing beautifully preserved monuments and medieval architecture.
Ghent, once the capital of Flanders and Belgium’s second-largest seaport, offers highlights such as St. Bavo Cathedral, St. Nicolas Church, and the Castle of the Counts of Flanders.
Bruges - Bruges, the most visited Belgian city, is renowned for its Western Renaissance heritage, romantic old canals, and rich history. Explore Bruges’ main sights, including Groote Markt (main square), the Lake of Love, Beguinage Abbey, Our Lady Church, and Town Hall Square.

Bruges — Antwerp — Amsterdam
Antwerp - Depart from Bruges to Antwerp (~95 km). Enjoy a walking tour in Antwerp.
Antwerp, the heart of ancient Flanders and the city of Rubens and van Dyck, is the world’s largest diamond cutting center. Visit the Grote Markt, the Plantin-Moretus Museum, and the medieval fortress of Het Steen.

Amsterdam — Zaanse Schans & Volendam — Amsterdam
Amsterdam - Take a walking tour of Amsterdam’s beautiful historical center. Visit top attractions like Dam Square, the Royal Palace, the Rembrandt House Museum, and more.
Dam Square, a five-minute walk from Centraal Station, was created in the 13th century when a dam was built around the river Amstel to prevent flooding. In the center, see the National Memorial statue of 1956, dedicated to Dutch soldiers and resistance members of World War II.
The Royal Palace (Koninklijk Palace), no longer home to the Dutch Royal family, is still used for official receptions.
Madame Tussauds, the world-famous wax museum, the Nieuwe Kerk, often used for art exhibitions, and Beurs van Berlage, an old stock exchange now a concert hall, are also highlights.
The Rembrandt House Museum is located in the house where Rembrandt lived from 1639 to 1658. In 1907, the city of Amsterdam purchased it and opened the museum in 1911.
Diamant Museum Amsterdam - Visit the Diamond factory to see the entire diamond cutting process.
Amsterdam Canal Ring - Enjoy an Amstel Cruise on Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canals, admiring the 17th-century gabled houses from the boat.
Zaanse Schans - In the afternoon, take a half-day trip to Zaanse Schans & Volendam.
Zaanse Schans is an open-air museum with 6 windmills. Over 10,000 windmills were built in Holland! There are also 35 wooden houses from the 17th-18th centuries, showcasing Dutch lifestyle. See a spice mill, oil mill, bakery museum, wooden clomping shoe workshop, cheese factory, and more.
Volendam - Transfer to Volendam (~25 km).
Volendam is a fishing village with its own harbor, offering a glimpse into the life of Dutch fishermen in the past. Locals in traditional clothes can be seen here. The port of Volendam is filled with fishing boats, and a fish auction is held. In the harbor, buy fish directly from a fishing boat. “If you’ve been to Holland and haven’t eaten herring in Volendam, then you haven’t seen the country,” say the Dutch, as it offers the most delicious herring in the Netherlands.
Amsterdam — Giethoorn — Amsterdam
Giethoorn - Take a half-day trip to Giethoorn. During the city walking tour, discover Giethoorn’s picturesque landscape of serene canals, wooden bridges, and Dutch houses. Enjoy a boat cruise through Giethoorn’s canals as well.
Return to Amsterdam. Free time.
Amsterdam — Alkmaar — Delft — Brussels
Alkmaar - Enjoy a guided visit to the cheese auction in Alkmaar (~45 km from Amsterdam) with the “Cheese Skating” show (from 1 April to 29 September). Alkmaar is renowned for its cheese market and cultural landmarks. Walk through the medieval city center to explore sights like Stadhuis and the Waag (Weighing House) on Waagplein, the main symbol of Alkmaar.
Depart for Delft (~90 km).
Delft - Travel from Alkmaar to Delft (~90 km). Take a walking tour in Delft, a popular tourist destination in the Netherlands, famous for its blue pottery, being the home of painter Jan Vermeer, and hosting Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).
