Great Trip! - Despite a boating event going on that day the Cruise Company had arrangements in place to transport my mobility restricted mother to the port. There is a lovely gift shop and Patio restaurant adjacent which allows you to rest while waiting to board. Great care was taken to ensure my mother got on safely and wasn't exposed to the heat while waiting or on board since it was a hot day. Can only recommend.

At least the weather was good - The river cruise was a pleasant experience. However, customers kept changing seats, getting up and down, kids screaming

September sunny afternoon - Booked through travel advisor and were charged an additional $22 when we checked in for your. We were told that the company cannot collect taxes from Tripadvisor as it’s a 3rd party booking company . We book frequently using trip advisor and have NEVER been charged extra fees when we checked in for tours in any country . This was disappointing and felt a little bit “off” my husband checked us in so I was unaware until after the tour . The tour itself was fine , lots of information but did not go very far into the thousand islands . Tour out of Kingston was more enjoyable

Disappointed - We were disappointed with the 90 minute cruise . Couldn't hear the recording at times about specific houses with people who were on a group tour constantly talking . Grandchildren complained there was no water in the bathroom to wash hands . Suggest you take the 1000 island cruise somewhere else .

Don’t buy your tickets online - I don’t understand why they sell tickets online if they don’t accept them when boarding. Going to the store to print your tickets will make you lose your spot in line. Our view was blocked by half transparent curtains, and the recorded narrator was either cutoff every once in awhile or it was not in sync with our location.

Disappointed - I had a very disappointing experience with this Thousand Islands cruise, mainly because of the customer service.I accidentally selected the wrong date while booking and contacted them immediately to see if the date and time could be adjusted. Instead of trying to help or even explaining the policy professionally, Mr.Andrew was extremely rude. At one point, he simply said he would cancel my ticket. When I asked if that was an appropriate way to communicate with a customer, his attitude remained unprofessional and disrespectful. In my opinion, he lacked basic customer service skills and courtesy. Unfortunately, the cruise itself was also disappointing. The boat was not as clean or as well maintained as I had expected, which made the overall experience even worse. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.I would strongly recommend that the company improve its customer service training and professionalism. If you deal with Mr. Andrew, be prepared for a very unpleasant experience.

Bait and Switch - You buy the tickets on Groupon but when you get there on the day, 1000 Islands & Seaway Cruises say they have to charge you additional tax - which I had to pay before boarding. While on the cruise I checked the receipt and they charged me 25% more than the tickets. I asked the old lady in the office about it when we got back and she said it was the tax (which the receipt says). When I pointed out tax is 13% and not 25% she said it's not tax, it's the booking fee. When I then pointed out I was already charged the booking fee the moment I bought the tickets online (which was only $1 per ticket) she just waved me off and said "oh well". I also showed her the receipt THEY gave me which clearly lists the line item as "tax" and not "booking fee". There is no doubt at all they are running up false chargers, putting it under a line item like "tax" and expecting people not to question it. We'll see if the CRA wants to question it when I submit this to them. I encourage everyone else to do the same thing: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/programs/about-canada-revenue-agency-cra/suspected-tax-cheating-in-canada-overview.html Also, they oversold the boat. We got there and they were trying to talk us into taking the next cruise 2 HOURS LATER because they sold over 100 tickets for the time slot that we had reserved and arrived for more than the 30mins early as they required.
