Cheetahs hold the title of the fastest land animals globally. Unfortunately, they are also among the most endangered big cats, primarily due to habitat loss and other factors.
The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, previously known as the De Wildt Cheetah Centre, is dedicated to the active research and conservation of these magnificent creatures. Visitors can enjoy daily guided tours through various enclosures, showcasing a range of species such as cheetahs, King Cheetahs, African wild dogs, caracals, and vultures. Some tours even feature the thrilling “cheetah run,” and guests have the chance to support the non-profit organization by “adopting” one of the animals.
