Great day with Dirk and the penguins! - Dirk did a great job as both the tour guide and driver! Enjoyed the day’s activities and loved the penguin experience at the end! We had been to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, and the Moonlit Sanctuary on this trip was very underwhelming compared to that place so that part was OK. Otherwise, it was a great trip!

Worth it - All of these places are ones I wanted to see, and it was so convenient to have transportation to them. Guide was nice and have us some info, but left us alone at the stops which I appreciate! I wanted to walk the moonlight Sanctuary at my own pace and that's what I got to do! You get to feed the Wallabies and Kangaroos, this was the highlight of my trip.

Exceptional tour - This was a wonderful tour - Russell was an exceptional guide - explaining things clearly at each step of the tour. The Moonlit Sanctuary was great - the staff were approachable, and keen to share their knowledge about the animals and birds. The cafe there served good food. A quick stop at Cowes was welcome - a good range of cafes for tea. On our way to the Penguin Parade we saw many wallabies and geese. Russell gave an informative commentary as we drove to see the Penguins. This met all my expectations. The sanctuary is extremely well organised - lots of assistants to offer good advice and information. Try not to feel disappointed that photography is not allowed - even without flash they can harm penguins eyes. A QR code is available to allow free access to photos and videos provided by the centre. Every part of this day (and I’ve missed some things out) was excellent and made for a memorable tour.

Our pinguïn parade with Russel - Russel took us on a pleasant tour and was very helpful and provided valuable information. Relaxed but timely and efficient. He was instrumental in our experience. Afterwards safely dropped off . Good day. There were some confusions with booking but all worked out in the end thanks to the helpdesk.

Remember the Penguins come out at dusk - We enjoyed the day trip to see the penguins on Phillip Island. A stop at the Brighton Beach Boxes was interesting. As Australians we could have skipped the Moonlit Reserve, which is a quaint small wildlife park. Good for overseas tourists who have never seen Australian wildlife before. We stopped at Cowes for a food stop and at Nobbies for great scenic views. Our guide Russell was very good at pointing out wildlife along the way and we saw penguins up close in a burrow on our way to the penguin parade. Russell also gave us lots of local information which was interesting and entertaining. Make sure you take warm clothes at this time of year.

Nice tour! Lots of wildlife! - It didn't start off too well as driver was half hour late so put us in a worry if we would be taking the tour, but all was well when he did arrive. Saw a lot of wildlife and cool places. Just wish we got to the penguins a little earlier, but it was still a fun time. Thank you for a nice tour.

The tour leader is nice... - The tour leader is nice and friendly. He told the information we needed for every places. Tour leader should be more strict at time coz some people don't and let other people waited. This package is a little too loose though. The company may add more time with one more place. The last two things i don't like is about the pick-up place and language for infomation which are options for booking. If the company can't do or don't have, don't provide the options. my hotel picked-up was changed coz it can't be parked. The selected information language wasn't provided.

Great sites but a driver/guide that wasn't up to scratch - The sites visited were great as was the Penguin experience. My rating suffers because the guide was insufferable. Smarmy and glib, Matty passed on little to no information to make the long bus ride portions of the day pass more quickly and studiously avoided any contact with those on the tour - at one point sitting removed from the bus with a blanket over his head as passengers came back from a break. We had actually booked another Wine Hop and Coastal Tours the next day to the Twelve Apostles and really had our doubts about it but thankfully that guide was fantastic, and I reviewed the day as excellent. The lesson here is that Wine and Hop does have some problems around consistency in the quality of the guides it hires. Caution is warranted.
