Value for money - I booked in advance and explained we had mobility issues and our chairs were at the end of the row and so easy to access. The beach was busy but we were not continuously harassed by beach hawkers. The whole day was a pleasure.

Great day getaway! - Nice beach, clean establishment/washrooms/casual restaurants. Lots of staff, prices within reason on drinks and burgers etc. About a 10 minute drive from Cruise ships via taxi $5 US per person each way. Umbrellas and chairs well kept $20 US pp per day. White sand clear water, no seaweed, can snorkel right from the beach. Nice walking beach for about a mile each way from Harbour lights, would recommend. Jan 13/2026

Reserved beds in Carlisle Bay - Beds and parasol reserved in alphabetical order on the beach. Toilet facilities. Nice dpot on the beach closer yo the Hilton. Started removing them though at about 3.00pm the empty ones not good if you are having a siesta. Food and drinks on site. Food ok.

Day visit - Our 3rd day visit during a cruise and fantastic as always. Service excellent and worth booking on line to reserve your bed. Reasonably priced drinks and food for a lovely beach club

A wonderful day at the beach! - Our cruise ship stopped in Barbados, and one of the couples at our dining table recommended Carlyle Beach—specifically Harbour Lights. During the day it’s a beach club, and at night it turns into a nightclub. Don’t worry, it’s perfectly organized and works really well for both vibes. If you’re booking through Viator or TripAdvisor, note that reservations usually need to be made at least two days in advance. If you’re planning last minute (within a day), go directly through their website instead. With your reservation, you get two lounge chairs and one umbrella. You can choose between the first row by the water, the second row, or general seating. The day we went, they were sold out—but since we had a reservation, we walked right in and were seated immediately. It felt very smooth and well-run. The sand was soft, the bay water clear and calm—absolutely beautiful. Food and drinks are available for purchase; you can either walk up to order or let one of the friendly staff walking around take care of it for you (for a small upcharge). There are restrooms on site, though I didn’t use them. Keep in mind it’s a public beach, so a few local vendors might approach you selling souvenirs or offering massages. Everyone was polite and respectful, though, so it wasn’t an issue. Getting there is easy - 5/10 min by car. You can take a private taxi from the cruise port, but the shared group taxis are very convenient and cost only about $5 USD each way. There are usually taxis waiting at the entrance to take you back to the ship when you’re ready. All in all, it was a fantastic day. Just be sure to book ahead of time—and you won’t be disappointed!

Harbour lights 25 - Seats well spaced no hassle from vendors. Runners were helpful and friendly. Just remember prices are in US dollars. Not you rum shop prices. Burgers a must try.

Thank you for your hospitality - You should get larger umbrellas. Otherwise staff were very nice, food was really good. We came in a holiday so no options beyond this

Just Ok - It was fine. Loungers weren’t in the best shape or that comfy. But it was fine. Umbrellas could’ve been a bigger to accommodate the sun changes.
