Day 1: Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorge

Dades Gorges - Departure is at 8 am for a desert tour from Marrakech to the Dades Gorge, which takes approximately 7 hours. The journey includes traversing the Atlas Mountains and passing through traditional Berber villages. A visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou is included. This village, established 12,000 years ago, was a significant stop on the Salt Road and is now renowned as a filming location for Hollywood movies and TV series. Notable films shot here include Indiana Jones, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and season 3 of Game of Thrones. Lunch will be enjoyed in this charming village, offering a chance to savor local cuisine in an authentic ancient setting.

After lunch, a 3-hour drive leads to Nkoub village via Rissani, one of Morocco’s holiest cities and the origin of the current ruling dynasty. Overnight accommodation is in a typical Berber kasbah.

Nkoub Village - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Marrakech - Depart from Nkoub village to traverse the Draa Valley, a vast area of palm trees in Morocco, and then cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Lunch is enjoyed in Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains to return to Marrakech.
