Day 1: Fez-Ifrane-Midelt-Merzouga
Middle Atlas - Begin the journey early from Fez, ascending through the scenic route. Pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort designed in the 1930s by the French to mimic a Swiss village. Day 1: Fez-Ifrane-Midelt-Merzouga
Middle Atlas - Begin the journey early from Fez, ascending through the scenic route. Pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort designed in the 1930s by the French to mimic a Swiss village. Visit the cedar forests in Azrou to see the monkeys and drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Spend most of the day winding through beautiful forests, springs, rugged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains, descending towards the Sahara Desert.
Midelt - Stop for lunch in Midelt, a town renowned for its fossils and rocks.
Merzouga - Continue towards Merzouga, stopping along the way to enjoy panoramic views of a vast palm tree oasis. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, enjoy dinner with Saharan music, and stay overnight in a traditional Kasbah.
Day 2: Merzouga-Erg Chebbi
Merzouga Desert - After breakfast and some rest, embark on a day tour to explore the diverse desert dunes, passing through small villages.
Khamlia Gnawa Music - Stop in El Khamlia to enjoy Saharan music, then continue to explore other landscapes, including the oasis.
Rissani - Visit Rissani, the first capital of the Alouite dynasty, including some historical Kasbahs and the famous market. Enjoy the opportunity to taste local cuisine, such as the Berber Pizza.
Merzouga - Return to Merzouga, where after a refreshing mint tea, guides and camels will be ready to take you across the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the stunning sunset on camelback, and after an hour, arrive at the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent. At the desert shelter, camels are hobbled, and mint tea is served. After a delightful dinner, gaze at the stars and stay overnight in the Berber tent.
Day 3: Merzouga-Tafilalte-Fez
Merzouga - In the morning, rise early to walk over the sand dunes and watch the sunrise near the Algerian border, approximately 50 km from Merzouga. Return by camel to the hotel for a shower and breakfast.
Fez - Depart towards Fez, passing through Rissani and the Ziz Valley. Stop for a walk and lunch in a Berber village, then continue through the mountains and cedar forests, reaching Fez to conclude the tour.
