I had learned of the Botanical Gardens in Puerto Vallarta from my home town of Salem Oregon on YouTube. I loved the ease of booking online and paying for this all inclusive trip into the mountains to see a gorgeous garden. I especially learned much detailed information from my guide Eduardo Villegas, our FANTASTIC Guide AT THE LOVELY Vallarta GardenS. We learned about the native orchids, and how they propagate them. We were shown beautiful birds, and huge, mature, koi fish in their pond. The gift shop and restaurant was a surprise that we especially enjoyed. Jose our waiter was fun and very professional and pleasant. Our guide, Eduardo Villegas, is a walking talking encyclopedia of detailed knowledge of not just the botanical Vallarta Garden but also knows all about various plants, flowers, trees, flora and fauna on and around Mexico. We learned about the Cocoa trees, and he shared various stages of roasted cocoa. The bus ride was safe and very comfortable. We didn’t have lots of hiking, which was to my relief. My sister and I were very happy with this excursion and highly recommend it to all visitors to Puerto Vallarta. I loved the lovely variety of gifts in their shop as well. We also met the owner and founder of the gardens. He was working on the site. Very kind and hospitable.
