Wineries & Wine Tastings in Boston

Our guide was nice, very knowledgeable...but we had no opportunity to mix with the others that were participating on the same "tour". I would hardly call 2 locations a "tour". The second restaurant had us in an area where there were others (not in our "tour") talking and socializing right next to where we were trying to listen to our guide. Would have been nicer with 3 locations...add maybe 30 minutes more...and cut the time a little in the 2 places we visited. Our birthday group was 5, and we were 13 total with others. I think the guide was an expert on French and Italian wines...he did have interesting information for us.

With this wine tour it seems we were tasting more food than wine

The tour was ok. The walk to the second restaurant was quite long for my mother, and it happened to be in the middle of a snowstorm. The second restaurant forgot we were coming. Neither restaurant offered "food pairings" instead they were just snacks - cheese, crackers, olives, etc. certainly nothing paired to those specific wines. I learned a couple of interesting things, but overall was expecting the whole experience to be a little more organized for what it cost.

I really enjoyed our tour guide. She was knowledgable and made it fun. I wish there was another stop. The tour didn't last two hours and I wanted to hear more about wines.
