The featured 2nd stop was not available and we went on to a different restaurant- Masa which I don’t think was quite as good

John was very knowledgeable and engaging. We learned a great deal about wine and wine culture. A very fun and enjoyable afternoon.

Our group really enjoyed our wine pairings and each others' company. The tour guide (KP) was clearly very knowledgeable about wine, but she was talking about wine way over our heads -- she assumed a baseline level of wine knowledge that we did not have, and we barely understood what she was talking about (in terms of wine regions, varietals, ratings, production etc.). She used a lot of terms we just did not understand. I wish she had surveyed the group at the beginning to find out what we did and did not know about wine, and been able to give us a little bit more basic information about wine. We would have loved to learn more about the wines we were drinking, but starting at a more basic level.

I had an expectation that this was more of a walking tour. I was disappointed when it was more about wine education, and not an actual walking tour. That being said, the wines were good, and the guide was very good.

It was slow starting but became better. Some helpful ideas....water on all tables, written list of wines to be tasted, food should be on tables with first wine and suggestions made to try certain foods with certain wines to enhance the taste. Our guide looked at the floor a lot, not at us and it was off putting.
