This tour was fantastic... - This tour was fantastic and Nicholas was a great guide! While you can do the Freedom Trial on your own, I feel like i would have missed so much without having someone there able to provide context and answer questions.

Highly recommend this tour - Nick was a FANTASTIC guide. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Boston. It was a hot day and he was very mindful of stopping in shaded areas to narrate. He also allowed a well timed bathroom break. His delivery really made the history come alive and we definitely learned things that our history classes had not taught us! This was the best thing we did while in Boston.

Experience history while you learn it - You will learn A LOT of history and will leave Boston with a thorough understanding of what led to the revolution, who key players were and the significance of the events on the future of our nation. Our guide Dana was entertaining and educational. If you get him, consider yourself very fortunate. If you enjoy history and walking to experience it, this is the tour for you.

Tour was well worth it - Cal was outstanding. Her insights, cadence and ability to take the group on her journey of history and storytelling made the tour perfect for our family. We have a 14 and 11 year old. So, keeping them engaged is not always easy (too cool to learn). But, Cal did a good job of not pushing to the point of boredom, not giving less to the point they don’t know what they are looking at, but rather pacing the tour properly to enjoy the entire tale. Oh, and it didn’t hurt that the tour ends a couple blocks from Mike’s Bakery. Fun time had by all.

The Anti-Freedom Trail Tour - If you're looking for a tour guide who hates all the founding fathers and has absolutely nothing good to say about any of them, be sure to request the Phillis Wheatley guide. You will be sure to get a good taste of revisionist history. If instead, you would like to hear stories that honor the men (although they weren't perfect, I'm sure) who put their lives, that of their families, their property and livelihood literally on the line for the sake of freedom and prosperity that we enjoy today, I'd suggest you save your money, pick up a free pamphlet and do a self-guided tour.
