Excellent tour and our tour guide "Big Al" gets 5 stars on this one! - I was in Boston on business and had an afternoon of free time so I chose to take The Boston Historic Taverns Tour with Tastings and Ferry. And what an excellent choice that was. "Big Al" is one of the best tour guides I've ever seen (I took the Boston Pizza Lovers tour with him earlier this year and he seems incredibly passionate about his work). He's incredibly friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the history and the city of Boston in general. He told detailed, informative stories and answered multiple questions. Unfortunately we were unable to access the USS Constitution Museum due to the government shutdown; however, the Warren and Bell in Hand Taverns as well as the other sites that we were able to access were extremely interesting and well worth taking the tour.

He had answers for all our questions, knew all the neat local places to go and shared a lot of information.

Great tour! - Big Al was a great tour guide. Funny and knowledgeable about the history of Boston. We had some beer and appetizers at 2 bars and Al got some oysters that we all took a toast with and sucked down. If you like a good beer or wine and love to meet new people and want to learn a little more about Boston, than I would say book this tour.

A fun way to experience some history - It’s a great walk (around 10,000 steps) and worth each step. Time spent on Freedom Trail! Raising a glass in a pub where Washington and other historic characters did the same. And the cannoli- oh my goodness. I save the best for last - Big Al - our guide. He is full of energy and great stories. Made sure the group moved at a comfortable pace. Loved it!
