Rainy and fun bike tour through Saint Emilion - We had Alex as our guide for biking through Saint Emilion. The weather was a bit overcast and rainy which made for an interesting and wet section of the ride, but Alex had great energy and we all leaned into the adventure. Once the rain dried up and we rode back to the van, you could see how beautiful the landscape of the region is. Alex was a very knowledgeable guide and made for a very good time. He taught us a lot about the region in a short time. There were two tastings throughout the trip and they were of course very good wines. There was also a delicious lunch at the first winery.

Magical Day Out - The Bordeaux Wine and Bike Tour surpassed our expectations. Alex, our tour guide, met us at the agreed location with a big smile on his face and then we were off in the van to the first winery. Alex shared his history and wine knowledge with us and kept us entertained all along the way. He also prepared us for the understanding of the important aspects of wine making in the region. It was our lucky day because the harvesting of the grapes had begun. We enjoyed the leisurely e-bike ride through the beautiful Bordeaux wine country, seeing the chateaus and vineyards. Our first chateau tour was amazing with our guide spending a lot of time explaining their wine making business and family history. We were then presented with wine tasting and lunch that consisted of quiche, charcuterie, a bottle of wine and crepes for dessert. Next we visited the town of Saint Emillion and then we were off on our bikes again for another winery tour and tasting. We can’t say enough about our positive experience and our time spent with Alex. He was the perfect tour guide and the love of his job shined through.

An Amazing Day! - My partner and I enjoyed the whole day riding bicycles through the beautiful countryside and vineyards. Jonathan was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide! The group that day was small (5 people) and it felt very personable. It felt we were out with the family, especially when we were having a meal together. Exploring the town of St Emilion on our own was fun, even if we did spend most of our time having quiet time in the church and listening to music. It was one of the best days of our holiday and the whole experience gave me a better and deeper appreciation for Bordeaux and wine.

Spectacular and memorable day! - Really great day. Our guide, Christelle (sp?) was fabulous. Very kind and gracious, she took care of us and our group really well. The ride itself was picturesque, and our adult children had very good conversations with her. The two chateaux tastings and picnic were fantastic, especially the first chateau, with the fascinating description of the agriculture and wine making processes. We had a slight mechanical issue with one of the bikes, which can happen on any bike ride, but Christelle took care of it swiftly, and we did not miss a beat! Very professional. I would highly recommend this tour.

We learnt so much from our guide and at the 2 chateaux we visited. Most importantly the bikes were top quality! - It was an incredibly hot day (42c!!) but Cristal our guide was absolutely brilliant, very knowledgeable and looked after us very well. We all had the best time! We learnt so much at the 2 chateaux, tasted some excellent wines, had a great lunch and the bikes were top quality. Thanks Johnathan for quick communications to a couple of questions we had beforehand. A very well run little business, would definitely recommend 👍🏻

Memories of a lifetime! - Our Bordeaux Wine and Bike Tour with Bordeaux Wine Trails was truly unforgettable. Riding through the stunning Bordeaux countryside by bike is absolutely the best way to experience the region’s beauty—rolling vineyards and breathtaking views at every turn. Our guide, Christelle, was exceptional. As a knowledgeable sommelier, she shared fascinating insights into both the wines and the history of the area, and she did so in a way that was approachable and engaging for everyone. The vineyard visits were a highlight. At Château Rol Valentin and Château Grangey, we enjoyed not only outstanding wines but also warm, welcoming conversations with the staff who shared their passion for winemaking. There was no shortage of wine to taste, and each stop felt both intimate and memorable. Lunch was perfect—fresh, delicious, and a great complement to the day’s wine tasting. St. Emilion itself was beautiful, with its cobblestone streets, historic charm, and incredible views. It was one of those rare, perfect days you never want to end. We left with full hearts, happy memories, and a deeper appreciation for Bordeaux’s wine country. This tour is an absolute must-do, and we can’t recommend it highly enough!
