Nestled within a ranch, Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata provides snorkeling adventures in small, guided groups of up to ten people. Participants will snorkel through crystal-clear rivers alongside over 50 vibrant species of tropical fish.
This expansive aquarium-like experience includes two segments: a trek through the lush, tropical riparian forest, followed by a two-hour aquatic journey (2 km of snorkeling downstream) along the remarkably clear Olho d’Água river, which merges with the larger and slightly less transparent Prata river (600 meters of snorkeling). Additionally, there is an option for scuba diving in the Prata river. The ranch also offers other activities such as horseback riding through the farm fields and birdwatching, with 200 species recorded. This ecotourism attraction has received awards for its commitment to visitor safety, quality, and nature conservation.
- A current valid passport or ID is required on the day of travel
- Medical restrictions:
- Women up to 20 weeks of pregnancy, must see safety procedures.
- Women with high-risk pregnancy or after 20 weeks of pregnancy cannot participate on the tour.
- For visitors with recent surgery (up to 60 days), epilepsy, labyrinthitis, asthma, history of anaphylaxis, the participation on the tour is not recommended.
- Visitors with heart problems such as: heart attack, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and/or pacemaker; cannot participate on the tour.
