- Via Dr. Joseph Streiter - A stop will be made at a traditional Bolzano bar, offering the chance to savor delightful canapés topped with speck and Bauernschinken.
Speck is a dry-cured, smoked pork aged for six months to two years, seasoned with a unique spice blend that imparts its distinctive, savory taste. It is typically served with traditional breads and pickled cucumbers, providing an authentic taste of the region.
Bauernschinken is a cooked ham seasoned similarly to speck, offering a unique and flavorful cold cut that perfectly complements the local culinary tradition.
- South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology - The next stop is a local favorite where tradition meets flavor. Here, hearty mountain dishes are served, showcasing the best of the region’s culinary heritage, prepared with fresh, local ingredients in a warm, inviting atmosphere that embodies Bolzano’s food culture.
- Ca’ de Bezzi - There will be an opportunity to sample the renowned South Tyrolean beers, ranging from delicate, light brews to bold, spicy strong varieties. This region boasts a rich and diverse beer tradition, ideal for discovering unique flavors and local brewing expertise.
- Piazza delle Erbe - Bolzano is also famous for its bread, particularly Laugenbrot and Brezen. Laugenbrot is made by dipping bread rolls in a lye solution before baking and is sometimes filled with cheese. Brezen is a distinctive ring-shaped bread with a golden, shiny crust sprinkled with coarse salt, a true staple of the region.
- Via della Mostra - The region is also renowned for its delectable desserts. In a well-known Konditorei, participants can enjoy the classic strudel, one of the area’s most celebrated treats. This pastry is crafted from a thin sheet of dough rolled around a flavorful filling and baked to perfection. Made with the incredible variety of local apples, it is a true delicacy that delights with every bite.
- Monumento a Walther Von der Vogelweide - The tour concludes here, but not before enjoying a delicious coffee to perfectly round off the experience!
