    Food Tours in Bologna

The guide for the tour was excellent, and we did try many local foods, but this tour left me wanting more. When one comes to visit Italy, especially a place like Bologna, you want to eat! We spent more time talking about food than actually eating food. For example, we went to a shop to understand how different pastas were made, which I found to be very interesting, but I really wanted to taste all of them. Unfortunately, the tour did not include trying pasta (aside from one tortellini, which hasn’t been fully prepared)?!! We also walked through a local market - once again, interesting, but would have enjoyed this more if it had included a tasting. It was an enjoyable day, and I loved the coffee experience, the ragu, the cheeses - definitely lots of great things about it - but I left expecting much more from an experience that I wanted to be really great.

Our guide Elena showed a great knowledge of town and food. Very sympathetic, patient and kind.

Our guide Elena not only told us about the food specialties, but in between she also told us stories about the city. Food was the main thing, but it was nice to hear a little about Bologna as well. The tastings were fun. We had a fun time!
