- Caseificio Bio Reggiani - We will be happy to show you how we work. You will see the courtyard with free grazing cows, milking, how do we turn milk into cheese. We will have a chat and you can ask us any questions you want. And if you have children, bring them too: they will see a real farm, with cows and calves, they will have a lot of fun! We are very pleased to show you how you live in the countryside: cultivate the land, raise your animals and live on the fruits of your work. One of our favorite activities is to organize guided tours for school groups. We have been specially chosen to make educational itineraries that explain to children and their parents how organic Parmigiano Reggiano is born.

Setting off from Bologna in the a.m., our initial halt is at Reggiani dairy, an established establishment propelled by the Reggiani family’s dedication and enthusiasm. Initially, it was merely a stable with 5 cows, but over the years and due to ceaseless efforts, the dairy has become one of the area’s leading suppliers. Here you’ll get to understand the different phases of cheese-making and sample authentic Parmesan cheese.
The journey continues at Pedroni vinegar factory where you will savor and get to know about the lineage of this age-old family that has been curating original Balsamic Vinegar since 1862.
Post-lunch, there will be a brief tasting session at Leonardi ham factory in Marano sul Panaro, which was established by Aldo Leonardi in 1988, a pioneer in the pork slaughtering and processing industry.
