Incredible experience - I am so grateful to have been able to attend this cooking class with this extremely kind and welcoming family. It was so nice to hear the history of the area, immerse into some more of the culture, and eat such a delicious meal in their beautiful garden. This was definitely a major highlight of the trip.

Incredible Day!! - One of our biggest goals while in Italy was to immerse ourselves in the true culture! Not the touristy parts! It was for this reason that I booked the is specific tour while in Bologna! After all- where could be better to do a cooking class than Bologna?! My husband and our two teenage children attended and it was one of two highlights of our trip! The family is delightful and extremely accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious! We learned exactly what we needed to do to be able to come home and make the pasta at home and we have done that a few times now! Beyond the cooking- the views from the house are incredibly and my husband too many pictures of the beautiful scenery! Everything about the tour was incredible and if we are ever back in Italy! We would sign up again for another class! Don’t miss out on an incredible experience!

A Storybook Evening to End Our Trip – Unforgettable Pasta Experience - On our last night in Italy, we joined a pasta-making class about 30 minutes outside of Bologna—and it was truly special. The chef’s home and property looked like something off a postcard. It was so beautiful it almost didn’t feel real—rolling hills, garden views, and a peaceful setting that instantly made you slow down and soak it all in. What made the experience unforgettable was the incredible hospitality of the chef and her daughter. They welcomed us into their home with such warmth and joy, it felt like spending the evening with extended family. Their love for cooking and for sharing their culture was obvious in every moment—and it made the experience feel deeply personal. Our group had six adults (including four in their 20s), and we all had a blast. Even more telling - our seventh group member was on his third visit to this class. That says everything you need to know. It wasn’t rushed or overly structured—just a relaxed, hands-on evening full of laughter, learning, and truly amazing food. The dinner we shared at the end might’ve been the best of our entire trip. Looking back, it wasn’t just a class—it was a memory we’ll talk about for years. The perfect way to wrap up our Italian adventure. Just book it. You’ll thank yourself later.

An absolutely magical, completely unforgettable experience. - This was one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. The hosts were so kind, knowledgeable, and patient. Their property was unbelievably stunning, and their dogs were so friendly! It's apparent how passionate they are about food and cooking. I felt a sense of honor learning how to make tortoloni with them. A feeling of gratitude I've never felt for food before. To get to their house, the sisters Flavia and Flaminia pick you up in their car and drive you to their property. Along the way, they tell you about the history of Bologna, which I was not expecting. They were so kind! Elisabetta, the chef and matriarch of the family, an awarded chef, was an honor to learn from. This is an experience I will never forget, and I have endless gratitude for the family. I'll also never forget the recipe! It was delicious In my opinion, this was a perfect experience and I highly highly recommend it. To learn someone's family recipe that has been passed down multiple generations is love.

Authentic evening of making pasta and new friends from across the globe. - My husband and I were looking for an authentic experience outside of the city of Bologna. We were picked up on Via Santo Stefano, as well as brought back, which was very convenient as we did not have a car. The cooking class is held about 20 minutes away in the personal home/farm of our hosts, a mother/daughter team. The mother is a certified chef. The surroundings were magnificent - their home was very welcoming and the view of the countryside lovely. They were all ready for us when we arrived with coffee, fruit, and soft drinks. They taught us how to make tagliatelli and tortelloni pasta from scratch, as well as a "summer Bolognese" sauce. We each then tried out our new skills at our individual stations. My husband and I were in the main kitchen and the other 4 people were in the dining room turned classroom. After several hours it was time to eat! Both pastas were served - tagliatelli with the summer Bolognese sauce and the tortelloni with a butter and sage sauce - paired with white and red wines. The lessons were well prepared - the mother spoke in Italian while the daughter translated to English. The kitchen was clean and safety measures were taken. They did a fantastic job teaching the lessons, guiding us through the steps, and letting us create the pasta. Note: there are 5 farm dogs free range on site. Yes, we did know about the dogs when we booked this event. The dogs were quite active and barked a lot at first but they soon calmed down and went about their own business. I am nervous around dogs but I acclimated quickly and the dogs left me alone. The dogs were not a problem at all. It was a wonderful evening of making pasta, getting to know new friends from across the globe, and experiencing an authentic local activity. We highly recommend this event.

A wonderful experience in a beautiful setting - This was a wonderful experience with very friendly and accommodating hosts. We were picked up in Bologna and driven out to our host’s beautiful home in the countryside and greeted with coffee and biscuits. We then began the cooking class with Elisabetta and her daughters which was very informative and great fun. Most importantly though we finished the experience with a lovely dinner comprising of the pasta we had made and the accompanying sauces prepared by Elisabetta. A very enjoyable evening in a beautiful setting. Thank you for having us in your home.

Incredible experience! We... - Incredible experience! We learned to cook traditional pasta in the home of our chef. The property is up on a hill, about 30 minutes outside of Bologna. They picked us up and took us to their home which was a majestic property. We learned to make two types and pasta with two different sauces while enjoying local wines.
