Pilanesberg National Park is a captivating Big 5 game reserve situated just a 2.5-hour drive from Johannesburg, and it is the most accessible as it is located in a malaria-free zone. As the fourth largest national park in South Africa, Pilanesberg spans 55,000 hectares. It hosts a diverse array of southern Africa’s wildlife, including the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, and lion), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, wild dogs, crocodiles, antelopes, and approximately 300 bird species, among others.

Visitors can enjoy an exhilarating experience observing wildlife in their natural habitat, guided by professional rangers who will impart their extensive knowledge of the park’s fauna and flora throughout the safari. The park is conveniently located near the Sun City entertainment complex, and accommodations can be arranged for overnight stays if needed.
