Great to Experience Bogotá with Kids - If you're wondering if a food tour is "kid-friendly," the answer is 100% yes if you book with The True Colombia Experience. We spent a fantastic afternoon exploring La Candelaria, and it was easily one of our favorite family memories from our trip. The Tour Highlights • Diverse Tasting: We sampled an impressive range of Colombian staples, including various snacks, desserts, and, of course, authentic local coffee. It gave us a great overview of the regional flavors in one sitting. • Cultural Context: Our guide, Nick, was exceptional. He went beyond just describing the food; he shared fascinating insights into the history of Bogotá and the broader culture of Colombia, making the walk feel like a true storytelling experience. • Kid-Centric Approach: Nick was brilliant with our children. He made a conscious effort to keep them involved and interested throughout the tour, which made the experience stress-free and fun for the adults. The Logistics Walking through La Candelaria is a "must-do"—the area is vibrant and full of character. Having a guide to navigate the best spots and explain the significance of the streets made it much more rewarding than exploring solo. Highly recommend this company for families looking for an authentic, engaging, and delicious introduction to Colombia!

Amazing Food Tour! - We had a wonderful food tour in Bogota with Lorena! We visited seven different places, most/all of which we would not have found on our own, and sampled a lot of delicious different local foods. Along the way, we learned a lot about Colombian geography, history, and culture. Would highly recommend!

Great Walking Food Tour - Absolutely loved this! Lots of different foods with explanation of the history and culture of each dish. Portions were way bigger than expected, and the walking wasn't strenuous.

Walking tour bogota - Great visit with Milena, the tour is in English and Spanish at the same time. We walk around and taste a lot of products at the mercado and in the local bars and restaurants while discovering great places and learning a lot about the history of bogota! I recommend without hesitation!

Bogota tour - Milena was very knowledgeable and open to questions. We tried so much of the local cuisines and the niche spots in Bogota. We felt safe with her guidance and she also did the tour in both English and Spanish. She’s a great tour guide.

Bogota Food Education - This tour was awesome. I didn't have any idea of what the food would be like, but was surprised in the best. Most of the food was unique and tasty and presented beautifully. The venues were treats. The tour guide knowledgeable, personable, and fun. Great tour!

A little less conversation... - Fun neighborhood, but the tour itself wasn't great. An hour in and we'd only had some lukewarm chocolate drink, a piece of cheese, and bread. That set the tone. The pacing dragged and tastings were kind of blah. Not fun, but not awful.
