Participants will immerse themselves in Colombian culture, engaging all senses in this rich ancestral, architectural, and culinary journey. The tour promises to be enjoyable and packed with fascinating insights about the destinations.
The first destination is the Guatavita Lagoon, situated in the municipality of Sesquilé, just two hours from Bogotá. This lagoon, steeped in the Chibcha indigenous culture, is nestled in the Colombian Andes at an elevation of 3,100 meters above sea level and is famed for its connection to the legend of El Dorado.
The second stop is the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, another municipality near Bogotá. This cathedral is a marvel of engineering and a significant religious architectural site. Visitors will embark on an underground journey, descending 180 meters into the natural salt mines.
The experience concludes at the iconic Andrés Carne de Res restaurant in Chía, known for its authentic Colombian cuisine.
