• Nangka Waterfall - The first destination is Nangka Waterfall, which shares similar features with other waterfalls, including lush trees and bushes surrounding the area. Below, large rocks and stones are beautifully scattered. The waterfall stands at an impressive height of approximately 30 to 40 meters, resulting in a strong water flow and a loud sound. Another attraction of Nangka Waterfall is the small natural pond beneath it, measuring 3-4 meters, perfect for tourists who wish to swim and enjoy the water. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes, preferably rubber ones, if planning to swim or get wet, and bring a change of clothes.
• Mulyaharja - The second destination is the local village of Mulyaharja, known for its beautiful rice fields. These rice terraces are located near a stunning mountain. Although the rice terraces of Cibeureum village are not as leveled as those in Java, the surrounding scenery is equally breathtaking. A visit is recommended to fully appreciate the rice terrace views. Visitors can enjoy the local hospitality, houses, and atmosphere, complemented by tea or coffee at the farmhouse’s Saung.
• Gumati Resto Khas Sunda - Time will be spent at a local restaurant with views of the mountain and rice fields, sampling local cuisine in Bogor city. Visitors can enjoy dishes like chicken satay or nasi goreng.
• Bogor Botanical Gardens - The tour continues to the Botanical Garden located in the center of Bogor city, Indonesia, operated by the National Research and Innovation Agency. The garden is adjacent to the presidential palace compound of Istana Bogor, covering an area of 87 hectares (210 acres) and housing 13,983 different species of trees and plants from various origins. Bogor’s geographic location results in almost daily rainfall, even during the dry season, making it ideal for cultivating tropical plants. Founded in 1817 by the Dutch East Indies government, the Bogor Botanical Garden has been a major research center for agriculture and horticulture and is the oldest botanical garden in Southeast Asia.
• Bogor Palace - Sightseeing at The Bogor Palace (Dutch: Het Paleis te Buitenzorg), one of Indonesia’s six presidential palaces, located within the Botanical Garden. The palace is renowned for its unique architectural and historical features, as well as the adjoining botanical gardens. During the colonial era, the palace was a favored residence of the governors-general due to Bogor’s pleasant climate. It was also favored by the late President Sukarno and served as the official presidential residence until his fall in 1967.

Depart from Jakarta at 7 AM and head to Bogor, which is a 1-hour drive. The first destination is Curug Nangka Waterfall, where visitors can enjoy hiking the hill and swimming in the pond. The second stop is a local village with rice fields, offering complimentary tea or coffee and a chance to experience the local atmosphere. Continue the journey to the Botanical Garden and the Presidential Summer Palace, which was once the official residence of the Dutch governors-general. If time permits, return to Jakarta in the evening, which is a 1-hour drive.
