Fantastic first night in Norway! - Bodo was our first stop in Norway and we signed up for this Northern Lights tour. It did not disappoint! Ivar was our tour guide and was in full contact with our small group ahead of the tour to make sure we were all coordinated for the evening. Despite it being a snowy evening, Ivar was a master of tracking down the right location to view the Lights. He shared and explained the links to the various meteorological websites that help guide us in knowing the best times, locations and conditions for seeing the lights. We never knew about such technology but it was a great assistance in providing a wonderful light show! Along the long drive to see the Lights, Ivar was a great conversationalist and we got to know him and our travel companions from Italy. Part of the fun in traveling to see new places is meeting people from around the world. It makes it more of a memorable experience! Not only did Ivar do a great job in finding the lights, but he also gladly took and shared some beautiful photographs of the Lights, scenery and our group. He also served some snacks and a delicious black currant tea, which was very welcomed on a chilly night! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and one we will not forget. If you are in the Bodo area and seeking to see the Northern Lights, we highly recommend that you use Nordland Adventures and Ivar. You will be very happy you did so!

An unforgettable experience - My first Northern Lights sighting - it was an unforgettable beauty🤩! Ivar has taken us purposefully to various places in the mountains and on the beach. Between the individual hotspots, he kept an eye on the forecasts for the next sighting and explained a lot about the formation of Aurora, Sun, Earth, etc. Although my English is bad, I could understand his explanations. He also speaks a bit of German, so I felt in good hands the whole time😁. We were a small group (2 people), in his car have 5-6 people space, which I find ideal for such a tour. A tour with him I can absolutely recommend! I would book with him again immediately!

Ivar takes great care to ensure you have a great experience - We did the trip with Ivar, who was great from the start. Early contact, and went to pick us up early, when the forecasts looked good. This was fortunate, as the lights were gone later in the evening, so we are grateful for the lights we saw in the early evening. We did get to see a lot of beautiful places, even without a big light show above. He was great to show us the different resources they use to investigate the probability of seeing the lights and about the lights in general. Really interesting to talk with in general Also, he had snacks and hot drinks, which always wins me over. Lastly, when we had been driving for several hours without much luck. Ivar took the effort of a detour, to find moose, which we really wanted to see. And we succeeded in finding a young one very close by. So all in all, a good experience, despite the lack of activity in the sky

Amazing experience seeing the Northern Lights. - The positive reviews of Nordland Adventures are 100% accurate! Ivar was in contact with me several days before my arrival. I had a short stopover in Bodo a few days prior – I became worried as it was extremely windy. 😊 Once I finally arrived, Ivar reassured me and so we went to look for the Northern Lights. It was an amazing experience – the lights lasted pretty much for the entire night – the geomagnetic storm certainly helped! Ivar is very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor; he took me to some great spots for viewing! He gave me pointers on how to best capture the lights with my camera. He was also in touch the day after recommending a visit to the shrimp boat! Very yummy and fresh shrimp indeed! Ivar truly cares about your travel experience which was refreshing to see! I hope to be back! I definitely recommend Nordland Adventures! Thanks again!

Northern Lights - It was an amazing and unforgettable experience

A perfect evening out chasing the Northern Lights!! - Ivar was an excellent guide and provided us with plenty of information about the Northern lights via WhatsApp before our tour started. We were in a very small group in comfortable transport and provided with water, and offered a hot drink. Ivar kept us constantly updated on the hourly forecast of the Northern Lights. We were all asked how long we wanted to spend at each stop and covered many areas where the lights were forecast at their best. Ivar gave us a lot of information about the culture and facts about Norway and gave us the opportunity to spend as long as we liked on the trip. It was an unforgettable and highly enjoyable experience. Ivar sent photos to us of our trip and it is definitely one we would recommend highly!!

Phenomenal experience - If you can book one tour, book this one! It truly was an unforgettable night. Ivar adapts to the needs of the group and takes you wherever the lights are best. We set off early and we went out to a fjord and a frozen lake. We got to go out onto the lake and an explosion of lights happened in the sky, I laid back on the lake and just enjoyed the experience. The cold didn’t bother me too much, but if you don’t dress warmly, you’ll definitely feel it, especially if it’s windy! Oh and don’t worry about needing a camera. Ivar brings one with him and takes shots of you, the group and the lights and shares them with you the next day. Just sit back and enjoy the experience! Best tour in Bodo - I was solo travelling in Bodo when I met Ivar and the Nordland Adventures Team, I have to say that was one of the best tours of my life and I had an amazing time! Ivar shared everything about the northern lights, he took us to the best locations and we were lucky to see a big northern light while we were walking in a frozen lake! Was unforgettable and I really grateful for this experience! I highly recommend this company to everyone specially if you are solo travelling. Oh, and also the photos were amazing

Must do in Bodo - We had an amazing experience. Of course the lights aren’t guaranteed but we were lucky. Our guide was excellent. A wonderful photographer and provided photos of us with the lights in the background. So cool. It was windy and that made it a real adventure. This is a must do tour in Bodo. Dress warmly. Guide took us to a variety of places to stop and see the lights which was great because we had various backgrounds for our photos. Very comfortable vehicle.

More than I expected - Great experience. Ivar was so nice and went beyond in order to give us the northern lights experience! I loved it, he was very welcoming and took great pictures!
