• Bogazkale - To reach Hattusa, the journey begins with a drive from Cappadocia to Bogazkale, which takes approximately 3 hours.
• Hattusha - Next, the tour continues to the remarkable city of Hattusa. This expansive city, once the capital of the Hittite empire, is now in ruins and set on the acropolis. As the tour progresses through the grounds, visitors will encounter impressive carvings and pillars at the entrances, including the stunning Lion’s Gate and Sphinx-like carvings. Additionally, there is a notable engineering marvel, the pottern tunnel, located by the royal city walls. After exploring the open-air site, lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant offering traditional cuisine.
• Bogazkale Museum - In the afternoon, the itinerary includes a visit to the local archaeology museum in Bogazkoy, which showcases artifacts from Anatolian civilizations in chronological order, with a focus on Hittite and Hattusa relics such as written tablets, stamps, and bronze tools. Following the museum visit, the return journey to Cappadocia will commence by early evening.
• Yazilikaya - This one-day tour departs from and returns to Cappadocia, highlighting both the ancient city and the impressive archaeology museum. The first stop is at the Hittite ceremonial site, Yazilikaya (meaning Rock Inscriptions in Turkish).
