Our first stop was a charming chocolate shop, where we were treated to a fascinating demonstration of the chocolate-making process. Sampling cocoa beans at various stages of production was a unique experience that delighted my taste buds.

Next, we visited a coconut candy workshop, where An’s knowledge and passion for the craft shone through. We were encouraged to try our hand at making the candies, and I was amazed at the skill and precision required. The hands-on experience gave me a deeper appreciation for the local artisans and their dedication to their craft.

Our journey continued to a small cottage where traditional sleeping mats were made. Here, I had the opportunity to participate in the weaving process, guided by skilled artisans who patiently shared their techniques. The adjacent coconut farm was a highlight, as we climbed trees to harvest coconuts and enjoyed their refreshing contents. It was a true immersion into the daily life of the villagers.

The final leg of our adventure took us on a serene sailboat journey along a winding tributary of the Mekong River. Relaxing on beanbags, we were surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the delta, with lush foliage and vibrant wildlife all around.
