For the Rush Seeking Traveler. This tour is suited for those that have some recreational vehicle experience. You will be provided with a powerful Yamaha Viper snowmobile or similar, a three-cylinder 1000cc machine with approximately 140 horsepower. These snowmobiles have more than double the displacement that we offer in our other tours. These performance snowmobiles are single seated mountain machine monsters capable of literally all snowy terrains.
More Private
We do not operate the glacier rush tours with our regular tours and therefore, you will be able to travel faster, further and experience more. Our professional guides will tailor your trip according to weather and terrain and you will experience the glacier-like the locals do on their own performance machines.
Our friendly and fun-loving guides will give you instructions on how to operate the snowmobile and go over the safety procedures before you set off into the winter wonderland.

About a 2-hour drive from Reykjavik.
You must be at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the departure.
We will transfer you up to our base camp from Gullfoss, by car, jeep, or truck depending on the conditions each time.

Positive glacier rush tour - My husband and I did the glacier rush tour, which was basically a private tour with our tour guide Niko! We had a wonderful time- he was very friendly and informative. Would highly recommend booking with this company and doing this tour.

A truly "bucket list" experience on Longjokull in Iceland! - I can't speak highly enough about this experience! It was my favorite "activity" during our entire week in Iceland! I'd give the entire staff high marks for their professionalism and customer service.

Gabriel did such a good job helping my wife who was a little less "experienced" and comfortable on this particular trip.
Niko was excellent as our main "guide" for the trip! Fun, yet safe & attentive!
We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny weather. It made the top of the glacier unbelievably scenic.
The "Glacier Rush" experience was nice b/c we all got to drive our own snowmobile.
It was nice that on our particular outing there were only 7(9) of us (5 of my family, 2 others, and Niko and Gabriel), so it seemed so personal, with Gabriel helping with photos even.
Gabriel drove the "monster bus" and we felt so safe. It's a quite scenic drive from Gulfoss meeting spot.

A Must Do in Iceland - This was hands down one of the highlights of our Iceland trip. We’re a group of 10 from Singapore, and while we had already done a snowmobile tour in Tromsø, this glacier experience in Iceland was on a completely different level — truly unmatched. The views were unreal, the ride was thrilling, and everything felt well-organised and safe.

a memorable snowmobiling trip - We had an absolutely superb snowmobiling experience with Edgar. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well planned and executed to perfection. The entire journey felt seamless, allowing us to fully enjoy the adventure without any worries.
What truly stood out was the strong emphasis on safety. Edgar was thorough with his briefing, attentive throughout the ride, and made sure everyone felt confident and comfortable at all times. His professionalism, experience, and calm guidance gave us complete peace of mind.

Ultimate Snowmobile Thrill! - The Glacier Rush private tour with Mountaineers of Iceland was hands down one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for an adrenaline-packed ride across one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, this is it.
From the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch. The guides were professional, friendly, and made sure we were fully geared up for the ride. The snowmobiles were powerful and fast, and having the private tour meant we could really open up the throttle and enjoy the ride at our own pace.
Flying over the endless ice fields of Langjökull was an unreal experience—the feeling of freedom, the crisp mountain air, and the insane views all around made this worth every penny. The private tour made it even better because we had more time on the glacier, fewer people around, and a truly personalized adventure.
If you’re debating whether to go for the Glacier Rush private tour, do it. It’s 100% worth it for the extra time, the thrill of going full speed, and the exclusivity of having the glacier almost to yourself. Easily one of the best things to do in Iceland! 🚀❄️🔥

Glacier rush positive review - This glacier rush snowmobile trip was absolutely incredible! We rode for two hours across the glacier in perfect weather, and the guides were fantastic. They gave us the freedom to ride our own lines and go fast while ensuring safety at all times. When we had issues, they were quick to help. At one point, a snowmobile broke down, but they fixed it impressively fast.
Unfortunately, we had a bit of bad luck—three out of five snowmobiles had an engine belt or wheel issue, cutting our trip slightly short. Despite this, the overall experience was top-notch. The guides were professional, fun, and skilled, making the trip unforgettable. Every cent was worth it! Highly recommend.

Well worth the money! Was insane and could pick up lots of speed despite bad visibility - We had a total white out but even that didn’t stop us from picking up sooooo much speed! Could only just make out guide in front as visibility was so bad but he had his satnav and so we just made the most of it! Best experience I’ve ever had from riding quad bikes, motorbikes and other adrenaline activities. Was insane then as the clouds started to clear the views were immense!!! Odin was our guide and he was awesome!!! Best trip ever and so glad we paid the extra! well worth it!
