Amazing 3-Day Iceland Tour with a Knowledgeable and Friendly Guide Krzysztof - Our guide, Krzysztof, was amazing. He was an experienced driver, approachable, patient, and always clearly communicated how much time we had at each location. He had a well-organized plan and schedule, yet he never made anyone feel rushed or annoyed, even when someone returned to the bus a little late. Although Krzysztof is originally from Poland and not born in Iceland, he was extremely knowledgeable about the country — just as much, if not more, than many local guides. His English was very clear, with little accent, and he spoke slowly, making all explanations and safety instructions easy to understand. The overall tour experience was absolutely worth the money. The hotel provided was surprisingly high quality, especially considering it was located in the middle of nowhere. I was even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights around midnight, just behind the hotel on the grassland! Krzysztof also helped me take some great photos, joined us for dinner, and we had a wonderful time chatting together. It made the experience even more memorable.

Amazing 3 day tour - As with any trip, your tour guide can make or break the experience, we were so lucky with our guide Vjeran. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sights and history of the places we visited and was happy to answer any questions we had. In between stops he told us stories about the various events that have occurred on the island over the years. The scenery is so spectacular, I took so many beautiful pictures and we got to hike to some extra hidden gems like the black waterfall. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff were really friendly. It was great to stay in such a rural place. Overall I highly recommend this tour, it is competitively priced and is an easy way to see all the major south coast sights.

Fabulous trip made better by our amazing guide, Diddi - Absolutely amazing trip! Our guide, Diddi, was fabulous. He was accommodating, personal le, informative and adventurous. He took us to all the amazing spots and more and even made sure to watch for Northern Lights and make sure we saw them. We enjoyed having him drive us-especially with the unpredictable weather, and know we would have never seen the secret spots without him. We changed plans a few times and whatever we needed, Diddi made it happen! Arctic Adventures was great with helping us plan and accommodating the changes also. Highly recommend the private tour option.

Lili is our favorite guide! - Lili was our tour guide and is a joy to be with. She is kind and honest. She ran the tour like a true leader: keep us informed, keep us on time and keep everyone safe. We were introduced to very nice, local (non-touristy) bakeries and restaurants. The 3-day tour went by so quickly because we were having a good time. Hotel is very clean and comfortable enough. Our bus is a bmw van (18-20 seats) and is very comfortable. Every stop of the way was breathtaking! We love the glacier hike. Ice cave was small because it’s melting fast this time of the year, but the ice crevices were stunning, we never experience such wonder before.

Fantastic way to see Iceland - I would highly recommend this tour for highlights of Iceland. We saw so much in three days but didn’t feel rushed and spend a good amount of time at each location. The waterfall and beaches are beautiful, for us the highlight was the glacier walk, which was a very unique experience with stunning views. Take warm clothing and hiking boots you are provided with crampons. Our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable. The food at the hotel is good but expensive.

Great experience in Iceland 🇮🇸 - I fell in love with the beautiful views which this country offers. Starting with the Krafta volcano and the green cliffs along the road. I loved the hiking of the Skaftafell glacier, a little difficult but definitely worth it. Anyway Matei, our guide, who brought us around the southern coast of Iceland, was very friendly and explained us very interesting things about the country and the different points of interest along the trip. I definitely recommend the experience to everyone!! 😎

Overall good tour but some major issues - Firstly, shoutout to our tour guide, Vjeran. He is such an awesome guy and provided us with Icelandic history and interestingbcontext to the sights. Plus, he made some additional fun stops on our tour, which was nice. My family and I visited Iceland in the beginning of April for 6 days. Overall, we liked the 3 day tour, though there were some things we did not like that was out of Vjeran’s control. It was nice to be driven around everywhere and only worry about enjoying the scenery. The van was mostly spacious and comfortable. However, the WiFi on board was not working. When we arrived to our hotel in Kirkjubæjarklaustur (middle of nowhere), one of our rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Reception came over and after inspecting it said that it didn’t smell like smoke, but they’d still let us change rooms…. ok? But, the new room was in their new building, which was much nicer looking than the other building. Our room was clean and comfortable, just wish the window wasn’t opened more than an inch. Food at the hotel was nothing spectacular, high prices as is typical in Iceland. Dinner was pretty good and served in large portions, though the Veal was dry and the hamburger overcooked. Breakfast buffet, which is included in the tour, was significantly worse. VERY limited selection, and no fruits or scrambled eggs. The pancakes were pretty disgusting, The most unacceptable part of the trip, however, was that our trip itinerary was different than advertised. According to their website, our itinerary was supposed to include a glacier hike with a certified guide through the Vatnajökull Glacier. However, we were informed by Vjeran on the second day that the glacier hike is not part of our tour. The information from their website clearly states that the glacier hike is offered from October to April. The next day, we did do a little walk on a glacier to Katla ice cave. It was really cool, but not what was promised. I feel they should make the website less misleading.

The biggest disappointment. - The description is so misleading that I want to call it SCAM! Remove Ice Cave from the title and people will be happy for the bonus 'ice hole'. If your main goals is to see an ice cave (as it WAS ours) which is possible only during the winter - use other companies and pay attention that they start their trip from Diamond Beach area! Check this very carefully!! There is no ice cave on this tour with Arctic Adventure - they will show you the hole in the ice(see the picture). We, and many others on our tour who expected to see an ice cave were extremely disappointed. Our guide on the glacier hike/ice cave portion of the trip Kristian was great - knowledgeable, friendly and funny and we know it was not his fault. Going for a 3-day trip just to see the Diamond beach is just not worth it - not comfort- or time-wise and financially. You will be driving a lot there and back at some points. There are closer glaciers if you want to do a Glacier hike and see the South Coast or Golden Circle. You can stay in the same nice hotel in Reykjavik, without paying the inadequate price for the “trip hotel” or driving back and forth.
