Upon reaching Black River, experience a boat ride on Jamaica’s largest wetland, the Black River Morass. The boat ride starts at the mouth of the Black River and lasts about an hour. Over 100 bird species have been spotted in the Black River area, which is also one of the last habitats for an endangered crocodile species. Crocodile sightings are common, and the area’s flora and fauna are truly remarkable. On feeding days, witness Charles Swaby, the resident crocodile expert, hand-feed the crocodiles. Additionally, various species of mangrove can be found in this area.
