Bishkek – Burana – Cholpon-Ata

The journey begins with a visit to the Burana Tower, an ancient minaret located in the Chuy Valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. The tower, along with funerary monuments, earthworks, castle remnants, and three mausoleums, are all that remain of the ancient town of Balasagyn, founded by the Karakhanids at the end of the ninth century.
Enjoy lunch in Iskra village with a Dungan family, an ethnic group of Chinese Muslims who fled China. Experience their traditional cuisine.
Issyk-Kul Lake - Depart for Issyk Kul, the largest lake in Kyrgyzstan and one of the world’s deepest. You will be driven to a hotel on the lake’s shore.
Cholpon-Ata – Grigoriev & Semienov Gorges – Karakol

Next, visit the Grigoriev and Semienov gorges. Enjoy a picnic or lunch at a roadside café.
These gorges are among the most famous attractions in the Issyk Kol region. Take a walk, enjoy the surrounding wild nature, and have a wonderful time in this beautiful area.
Afterward, depart for Karakol, the administrative center of the Issyk-Kol region. In Karakol, visit:

Tamga – Fairy Tale Canyons – Bokonbaevo – Kochkor
Canyon Fairy Tale - After breakfast, head towards Kochkor village, passing by the lake’s south shore. Visit the Skazka canyons, known as the “Fairy Tale.” Here, you can find objects of surprising shapes and sizes, resembling skyscrapers or animals.
Bokonbayevo - Meet an eagle hunter and his bird. Witness the bird’s alertness and speed during the hunt, a tradition of Kyrgyz nomads.

Kochkor – Son-Kul Lake
Song Kol Lake - After breakfast, travel along winding mountain roads, ascending into the heart of Kyrgyzstan’s wild beauty until reaching the Kalmak Ashu Pass (3,447 m). From this high point, Son Kul Lake appears as a small turquoise jewel in the vast highland plains.
As you descend toward the lake, its true grandeur unfolds — an expansive, dazzling mirror of sky surrounded by rolling green pastures. Upon arrival at the yurt camp, experience the warmth and hospitality of the nomads, learning about their centuries-old traditions and deep connection to the land.
