This tower, along with grave markers, earthworks, and remnants of a castle and three mausoleums, is all that remains of the ancient city of Balasagun, founded by the Karakhanids at the end of the 11th to 13th centuries.
Konorchek Canyons - If weather permits, enjoy a radial trek to Konorchek Canyons. Walk from the main road in Boom Gorge through a narrow dry gorge and a maze of rocks scattered over a dry riverbed. The canyons feature red sandstone columns reminiscent of the Grand Canyon in Colorado, USA.

Son Kul Lake - Continue the journey to Lake Son-Kul, where the spirit of nomads can be felt. In summer, locals from nearby villages move to the lush meadows of Son-Kul Lake to graze their cattle. During the warm months, they live in small farmsteads called jailoo. Experience the lifestyle of real nomads, where men ride horses and graze cattle, while women care for children and manage household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, baking bread, and making butter and other dairy products from cow and horse milk. The food here is primarily natural and local, including meat, milk, butter, and airan (local yogurt). Horses graze and breed freely in the Alpine-like meadows. Son-Kul Lake – Kyzyl-Oi Village, up to 150 km
