Bishkek - Burana - Chon Kemin - Konorchek Canyon - Cholpon Ata
Bishkek - In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel and the journey will begin towards the Issyk Kul region (230km).
Burana Tower - En route, there will be a stop at the renowned Burana Tower. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see for history enthusiasts….
Bishkek - Burana - Chon Kemin - Konorchek Canyon - Cholpon Ata
Bishkek - In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel and the journey will begin towards the Issyk Kul region (230km).
Burana Tower - En route, there will be a stop at the renowned Burana Tower. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see for history enthusiasts. Visitors will spend approximately 40 minutes here: climbing to the top of the tower, visiting the archaeology museum, and exploring the balbals (ancient stones with carvings).
Chon-Kemin National Park - Continuing the journey to Issyk Kul, the second stop is the scenic Chon Kemin valley. Here, guests will enjoy an exciting horseback ride through picturesque fields, forests, and up to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the entire valley. Lunch will be served in a charming restaurant with a 360-degree view.
Konorchek Canyons - The journey proceeds towards Issyk Kul, with a visit to the stunning Konorchek Canyon for a light yet exhilarating hike.
Cholpon Ata - Upon arrival in Cholpon Ata (the central town on the lake’s north coast), guests will check into a hotel. There will be free time for relaxation and dinner at a restaurant. Overnight stay.
Cholpon Ata - Grigoriev Gorge - Semyonov Gorge - Karakol
Cholpon Ata - The next adventure includes heading to the local dock for a delightful ship ride on the world’s second-largest alpine lake. After traveling 4km out, the ship will pause at a depth of 120m. During the warm season (May-September), guests can dive into the water for a surreal swim (life jackets provided). In other seasons, the experience on the ship will be equally beautiful, with the lake’s grandeur and surrounding mountains to admire. Lunch will be at a restaurant.
Grigorievka - The journey continues towards Karakol town, situated between the north and south coasts. Along the way, there will be visits to the breathtaking Grigoriev and Semyonov gorges to explore their stunning landscapes and hidden alpine lakes.
Karakol - Upon arrival in Karakol, guests will check into a hotel and have free time to rest. A short drive to the nearby village of Ak Suu will offer a relaxing swim in hot spring pools near a forest, a perfect end to an active day! Return to Karakol for dinner at a restaurant. Overnight stay.
Karakol - Ski Base - Karakol - Jeti Oguz Valley
Karakol - The day begins with exploring the attractions around Karakol. A brief city tour in the morning includes the Dungan mosque (1910), Russian Orthodox church (1895), and a local handmade souvenir shop (if interested).
Next, the journey continues out of Karakol to the country’s premier Ski Resort (7km). In winter, it offers a fantastic skiing experience, while in summer, the views of the region are equally breathtaking. Lush green meadows, expansive coniferous forests, snow-capped mountain peaks, glaciers, and the entire lake in the background define this Ski resort. A chair lift will take guests up to 3040 meters and back down. Return to Karakol for lunch.
Jeti-Oguz Canyon (Seven Bulls Rocks) - Departing from this charming small town, the journey heads towards the southern coast. The final destination for the day is the magnificent Jeti Oguz valley (Seven Bulls). Driving deeper into the valley of flowers, guests will arrive at “Jailoo” (green summer pasture) where yurt camps are located. A splendid horseback ride through forests and up the mountains to the enchanting Maiden Braids waterfall awaits. Free time for a walk on pastures. Dinner, followed by bonfire time and stargazing. Overnight in yurts (traditional Kyrgyz dwelling).
Jeti Oguz - Barskoon - Skazka Canyon - Bel Tam Yurt Camp
Jeti-Oguz Canyon (Seven Bulls Rocks) - After breakfast, the journey continues along the south coast of Issyk Kul. A visit to the Jeti Oguz panorama offers the opportunity for some beautiful photos.
Barskoon Waterfall - The adventure proceeds to the atmospheric Barskoon valley for hiking and exploring its three waterfalls. Lunch.
Bokonbayevo - Continuing the journey, guests will arrive at Bel Tam yurt camp, located on the wild beach of Issyk Kul lake. This yurt camp is equipped with all necessary facilities such as showers, toilets, water sinks, laundry, and a bar. Sleeping in a cozy and warm yurt with the soothing sound of the lake’s waves will be a memorable highlight of the trip! Free time for relaxation. Dinner in a large kitchen yurt. Overnight in yurts.
Bel Tam - Ak Sai Village - Bishkek
Bokonbayevo - Although today marks the last day of this incredible journey, the adventure continues! After breakfast at the yurt camp, there will be time for relaxation. Guests can explore the beach, appreciate the lake’s vastness, and unwind. The journey then proceeds on the main road of the south coast towards Ak Sai village, where a spectacular Eagle hunting demonstration awaits. Participants will learn about this traditional Kyrgyz hunting method and engage in the archery segment. Rest assured, only an artificial animal carcass is used as prey during the hunt. Following this experience, the journey continues to the nearby Ak Sai canyons to explore the hidden and enchanting Canyon of Forgotten Rivers, promising otherworldly views! The day concludes with a drive down from the canyon to a wild beach for a delightful picnic, bidding farewell to Issyk Kul lake with food, swimming, and sunbathing.
Bishkek - It is now time to depart from this enchanting region and head back to Bishkek (230km). Upon arrival in the capital city, guests will be dropped off at their hotel (not included). End of the tour. Thank you very much!
