Located in the heart of Bishkek, Ala-Too Square features several attractions. Surrounding it are the State Historical Museum, with approximately 90,000 exhibits, and Oak Park with the Friendship of Peoples monument. At its center is a 45-meter flagpole with a national flag measuring 10 by 15 meters, guarded by an honor guard. Nearby stands a 10-meter-high equestrian statue of Manas, the legendary Kyrgyz hero.
